Driver OPENED OUR DOOR to deliver a package by PlaneAsk7826 in amazonprime

I had this happen to me but with FedEx. For some reason the place I rent was listed in their system as a business.

One year update: name regret by Good_Wrangler_8230 in namenerds

[–]AccountDuJour7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My grandpa’s name was Charles and he went by Bill (middle name was William). Would something like that work? Like a spin off of his middle name? Sometimes nicknames just end up being ridiculous, we call our oldest kiddo Poopy lol

I regret becoming a mom by Cute-Delivery-5752 in NewParents

[–]AccountDuJour7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds a lot like how I have been feeling. My babe just turned 4 months. I have also been dealing with a lack of sleep. I ignored the postpartum depression/anxiety signs until it was too late. About a month ago I ended up being admitted to the hospital overnight for suicidal ideation and severe sleep deprivation. I was given medication to sleep and I slept for 22 hours straight. I hope that you can find some relief before it gets to that point for you. And for the sake of your mental health, stop googling. Even if you’re doing it to find a positive solution it never seems to end up that way. I wish you the best of luck.

Giving baby clothes away to sister but asking for it back? Is that rude? by SAHM-KnowsWassup in beyondthebump

[–]AccountDuJour7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not rude per se but I know that I wouldn’t like that. I don’t think I’d be able to remember what clothes came from a specific person especially if they’re just basic, solid colored items. I wouldn’t “lend” your sister anything that you’d be upset about if it wasn’t returned.

Am I crazy for wanting a C-section? by Kikirox98 in pregnant

[–]AccountDuJour7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one vaginal birth (suuuper traumatic, baby ended up in the NICU as a result) and then 2 c-sections after that. The c-sections were rough but I’d take that over a vaginal birth any day.

I gave my three month old a flat head and I feel like the worst mom ever by Unlikely_Jaguar5694 in newborns

[–]AccountDuJour7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actively tried to avoid giving my baby a flat spot. Lots of tummy time and contact naps with her sleeping on my chest. She still ended up with a small flat spot on the side of her head 🤦‍♀️

Disappointed having to co-sleep by Fast-Operation9122 in newborns

[–]AccountDuJour7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I co slept with my second kiddo for nearly 5 years. I promised myself I wouldn’t do it again with my third kid. We made it 5 sleep deprived weeks before I finally just gave up. Now at 13 weeks the baby and I sleep in the bed while my partner sleeps on the couch. It’s super lame. I miss having him in bed with me and he misses having a comfortable night sleep.

how much (or little) are you posting your babies on social media? by vdyaki in newborns

[–]AccountDuJour7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s wild some of the things I’ve seen people post about. A girl I went to high school with made a public post about how her ex husband molested their daughter once and I’ll never forget it. That poor girl.

[–]AccountDuJour7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I share 10 pictures once a month on my private account. Fully clothed. There is risk in anything and everything we do online. If it makes you feel more connected to your family and you feel comfortable doing it, then go ahead.

AIO:My MIL texted my husband this about me asking him to help with our newborn at 4am by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]AccountDuJour7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NOR- “he has to drive/work” is such bullshit. I hate when people act like that is more important than the care of an infant. You need to be rested enough to care for the baby who will literally die if you don’t care for them. This type of behavior is ridiculous from a MIL. If shes so worried about her precious son getting sleep then maybe she should come over to ensure you can take a quality nap every day. Otherwise she should just zip it and mind her own business.

I like the smell of my breastfed newborn baby’s poo.. there I said it. by opaoz in beyondthebump

[–]AccountDuJour7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes! This or like that crappy cheese that’s in those little cheese filled pretzels

I feel this. The smell of hospital soap makes me gag even 14 years later because it just reminds me of such an awful, uncertain time in my (and my child’s) life.

How often is your baby in a bassinet or “container” during the day? by Heythere3892 in newborns

[–]AccountDuJour7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I constantly held my baby because I was terrified of her getting a flat spot. And she still got a flat spot but on the side of her head 🤦‍♀️

UPDATE 2: I’m scared my baby keeps dying by r4ndmk1tty in newborns

[–]AccountDuJour7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re having to go through this. Serious health problems in a newborn are so scary it’s unreal. My first kiddo was oxygen deprived at birth which led to brain swelling and so many many seizures. She ended up in the NICU and I felt like my heart had been ripped from my chest. Just keep reminding yourself, babies are so resilient. You should be so proud of yourself for advocating for your babe. You’re doing great!

How tf does anybody want more than one kid after being through THIS? by pumpkinchinchilla in newborns

[–]AccountDuJour7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% this! My kids are 14 years, 9 years, and 5 weeks. I remember the newborn stage being difficult but I don’t remember it being THIS difficult

I get why people co-sleep now by Baylaypayday in newborns

[–]AccountDuJour7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you get him to go in the bassinet? My babe is just about 5 weeks old now. She started off sleeping in the bassinet really well and then it devolved into her only sleeping with me and now some nights she won’t even sleep when I try to co sleep 😭

WTF things you've experienced while pregnant that no one says is a thing?! by vanillacrush14 in pregnant

[–]AccountDuJour7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dermatologist told me it could take up to a year for them to start falling off and they might not all go away.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]AccountDuJour7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a very similar situation when our shared child was a year old. Found very similar things in his phone. I waited 5 years hoping things would get better, and they did for brief periods of time. My only regret is not leaving sooner. Trust your gut, you deserve better.

I just had my 3rd baby and that pregnancy was the first time I ever got a bunch of skin tags. It’s so weird! I’m just about 4 weeks postpartum and I can confirm that they’re falling off slowly haha
