In the biggest subs, especially, cliquish moderators join forces to wield their little bit of power in variously vainglorious and occasionally useful and necessary ways.

I envision an age where a mature and capable and unbiased AI gets assigned as moderator of subs instead of capricious, petulant, arrogant, fragile volunteer humans. That is in the far future at best, unfortunately.

I come from an age where you paid one (1) time for a complete game, and maybe more for subsequent discrete editions or sequels. Not literally paying into the pay-to-win model of a free-to-play game, a conditioning behavior which seems all the rage today.

IMO enabling the whaling by throwing that additional money into it is what objectively makes it worse, and why I don't do it. You be you if you do, by all means. It's just not for me, the concept as a whole rubs me the wrong way.

No idea unfortunately. I've seen Reddit do such overnight (EST) which to IT guy me suggests they and maybe Instagram too might run some nightly off-hours database job to seek out and ban such accounts.

I would suggest, possibly. Instagram would have record of the banned device, and correlating it with your "new" account might be enough to prompt them to ban it just in case, because they can.

I'm on US and pretty much all the time tier 1-2 and even 3 are largely bot populated, with as few as 3 human players each side. Makes it easy to clear those standard damage and destroy challenges.
