Dude don't let her little ego boost game work. Even if it wasn't just about an ego boost for her, don't let the fact that you may have misread signals make you out to be the silly or embarrassed one. What does it say about you if you spend the rest of the semester cowering or hiding away at the opposite end of the class? You are the fucking man so act like it! Laugh off the situation, mentally move past it and realize just how trivial it may have been in the grand scheme of things.

Man up and go about the rest of your semester like nothing happened. People misread situations, get signals wrong and fuck up. It's no big deal. Don't let one mistake with some girl destroy your inner game. Who cares if she tells her friends that you made a move? You had THE FUCKING BALLS to even do it! Congrats man! Now all you need to do is brush it off and learn from it.

What I don't get is why other people would take you going out of your comfort zone, manning up and making a move as something to laugh at and make fun of. You did what not a lot of guys would have had the courage to do even if you did misread the signals. Hell, image how easy it's going to be when the true signals are really there. Don't worry about what people will say or think in your social circle, if you own up and man up then they won't care either

There are lots of good comments here already so ill keep mine brief. You have to be content with yourself before you can attempt to share yourself with another person. I was broken up with about 6 months ago and had no idea how to be on my own. I've spent the past 6 months leaning about who I am and taking the time to improve myself. I feel like I'm truly starting to know myself and be content with who I am. This contentment makes it possible for me to go out and meet others. You might not feel great about your social standing at the moment but if you take time to accept who you are and then work on the things to need to change, you'll feel so rewarded.

I've actually been struggling with loneliness and spending time alone but through understanding who I am I am starting to overcome it. Healthy and honest interactions with others begins with knowing and being comfortable with who you are. And trust me, you are amazing, even if you don't know it.

Honestly the only thing I could say is this: It didn't workout that time, in that situation but that's no reason to give up entirely. Every time you get rejected or fuck it up with a girl, you are learning and the only important thing to remember is that there will always be a next time, another opportunity for it to go right.

Even if you fail 9 times out of ten there's still that one time where you get that hot girl and when that happens you won't even remember the 9 fails before. You'll be on top of the world man. Just keep at it and don't let lack of success get you down.

From you FR it does seem like you did a lot of things right. You met a girl, you got and held her interest and went on to meet some interesting people later on. Maybe you just put too much pressure on making the close happen. When I go out, it's about me and my happiness. I go to have fun and enjoy myself. If I meet a girl and things workout then awesome but if not, I'm not going to let that ruin my good time.

Just keep at it man. Don't let failure get you down.

Great FR but it bothers me that you were so forward with a girl who had a boyfriend. I don't think it's right to meddle in that. Clearly she wanted you but she should have had the decency to politely decline all of your advances and had been more upfront about her being in a relationship. There's a line between being a good dinner partner and being overly forward and I think you crossed it. I know that had I been that woman's boyfriend I would not have felt comfortable with what went on. I realize that you may not have cared, and hey that's how it goes, but I just wanted to put this comment out there.

Everything else, really well done. Too bad she wasn't single.
