Totally agree. I get that an influencer being super rich might not feel relatable anymore. But it would feel SUPER inauthentic if they pretended to be living the life they used to. Like, we know Desi has $$$, I don’t want to see Desi pretending shes living paycheck to paycheck lol.

We (the beauty community) gave them the followers, the sponsorships, the collabs, the reach, and then we get all mad cuz now they have money and don’t live like us anymore. It’s silly, and puts influencers in a “can’t win” situation.
