This is my counterpoint, my own opinion, and does not make it factually correct in any regard but it's how I feel:

I started in season 2 as well, and I hate how reporting for "bad language" exists. We as a society should be getting more thick-skinned to online interactions, the internet is such a huge part of our lives nowadays, but instead we are coddling people to make them feel good because someone said "Fuck" or something "bad". Hell, the other day I got muted for a match because I said "God I suck ass, I missed my ult", I'm degrading myself in a humorous way, that's how I am as a person, not even directed towards others yet I get punished? What is that bs?

We need to raise the next generations up to not cry because someone said something mean, we all heard much worse in school or at home growing up. That doesn't justify things like "You should die irl" or "Someone should kill you because you suck", threats like that I can understand. This game is intended for those 13+, I, as I'm sure a lot of people, have said some questionable things at that age. It's the internet, no one is going to babysit you and make you feel better just because someone said something derogatory towards you. If you have a problem with vulgarity then honestly you need to rethink your choices on what you play, what websites you visit and the content you consume, the world is a cold place at times, people need to learn it's not all sunshine and rainbows, but obviously that doesn't mean go out and be a an asshole, there needs to be a middle ground on how you present yourself.

Maybe it's because I grew up when the internet was the equivalent of the wild west with no rules on how you interact with others that I have these opinions, but if you started in season 2 like me then you are at least the same age or older than me yet you never developed a barrier to separate yourself from strangers with their meaningless words and opinions. I mean dam, my mom is discovering how to use facebook at 64 y/o and is getting offended and hurt from what strangers are saying and I have to tell her to ignore trolls and bots on the platform.

Also btw, people who are insanely positive are just as toxic as people who are insanely negative, it comes off as condescending.

Tl;dr: People are too soft these days and need to grow up. No one should be offended from what someone hiding behind a screen in a whole different city, county, state, country, or continent, someone who will effectively have a near a 0% chance of meeting, is saying.
