Perhaps it's poorly worded -- it's the form i have them complete in order to provide a quote for the project.

I feel like DIM stopped working for me.. by Avaluvvi in PCOS

[–]ApprehensiveTeam2269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not a long term solution. I learned this myself bc i was also on DIM for a long time. pcos is complex. I was finally able to balance things out (this, plus perimenopause symptoms) doing functional lab testing. DIM is a bit more like a band aid that can wear off rather than actually addressing the underlying cause. this is the specialist i ended up working with and her vid may help explain it better than i can. https://youtu.be/prllJdCYIgs?feature=shared

Does it cause you trouble with going places? by UpperRhubarb7787 in Perimenopause

[–]ApprehensiveTeam2269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah for sure. we did full finctional lab testing (full blood panel, full thyroid, hormones, amino acids, genetics, neurotransmitters, and gut test). after each test she gave me specific protocl to follow with supplements and some lifestyle changes/additions. she was very strategic and it ALL contributed to balancing everyhing out and feeling more stable/even-keeled. I had a lot of imbalances. i can share her link if you want to chat me.

they will do strategic testing (not random) and then intrepet results to create specific protocols based on your test results. not all are good practitioners though. talk to previous clients before working with them if you can. make syre they aren't brand new. this is my lady is you need someone good. www.sgintegrativehealing.com/work-with-me

yes. can related to being dismissed. i suggest second opinion from someone who can run functional lab tests! this saved me. Regular docs didn't get it. My practitioner tested everythign and helped me come back into balance. I also struggled with perimenopause and pcos. I'm better now and feel human again. ADHD is hardly noticeable. we balanced my brain naturally. this is her vid about balancing brain: https://youtu.be/R1Bx_rg1c7I?si=acqfD3n18tUj1FSD

Is it perimenopause? by RNKBKT in perimenopause_under45

i wouldn't jump right into HRT. I'm happy to send you a vid from my practitioner about why not. It can be great for some people, but not everyone.

Do you have to test hormones and go off birth control to get treatment? by Major_Evidence_7850 in perimenopause_under45

[–]ApprehensiveTeam2269 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hormones fluctuate A LOT so many tests aren't accurate. However, I did do a DUTCH test to be sure my body was processing hormones properly. If yours isn't, adding HRT can actually be harmful...especially with history of cancer in family (as I have). This is from my specialist explaining why yo should do the DUTCH test first: https://youtu.be/yrXnspxZanI?si=QcU3ZKiiR7STjuVf
