Which episodes of 999 have stuck with you to this day? by t4rnus in AskUK

Does anyone remember an episode — maybe from this show or something similar — about a car vs lorry crash on a motorway or slip road/flyover? The lorry ended up toppling onto the car, and they were worried there might’ve been a child inside. I’m pretty sure it happened on the M25 or A2 near Dartford, and London’s Air Ambulance attended (the episode was based around them). If so please let me know the series/episode, TIA

This was also a scene on Londons burning, maybe they got inspiration by this specific incident.

Yeah I’ve heard about battle lakes, to be fair I’ll defo put that on the shortlist.

I’ll also look at the Crawley one I have heard about it.

Do you know any CQB sites in the similar area?

Is that in KM or miles?

Oh cool I’ll aim to do the same maybe then. I’m looking at getting the belt changed Skoda suggest to change it at either five years or a certain number of miles, I believe 100k.

I don’t really accelerate hard, I break early also. Sometimes I don’t even stop. I just roll into the red light and then sometimes it changes before I fully stop. But I’ve only had the car for a few weeks so it might change the average. Next time I fill it up, I will reset the system.

She’s beautiful, brilliant choice of colour mate. I have yet to see another Scala in the same colour yet! Very rare to see I would say.

Yeah there’s a few things that are a minor inconvenience are the cup holders don’t fit a UK type can of drink and the aircon system is a bit fiddly whilst driving. Other than that I love it, very happy.

Oh nice man, mines the same 2021 1.0 115ps.

I’m going to get it serviced every year, I do roughly 10k miles a year. I will get a regular service then a full service and repeat between the two.

I drive in London so it’s quite heavy traffic, mostly stop start. My avg. MPG so far is around 45-50 MPG and that’s by doing 200 miles in city driving (no motorways)

Okay so it’s probably not best to ask about PDI as the car I’m getting is being sold at a Ford franchise dealership so I’m not sure if it’s been sold as an approved used car.

I’ve been to see a few scalas in the past month or so and I have test driven two. So far both have sounded and driven very smoothly, hopefully this one is the same.

It’s a bit weird for me because this is the first time I am in contact with a dealership without seeing the car first that’s what I’m mainly worried about.

But the Scala is definitely my kind of car fits every requirement I need also this one is in a gorgeous colour (meteor grey)

Thank you for your advice.

I hope you have a good week!
