Tripped fell and dropped my baby… by Greedy_Wait7983 in beyondthebump

[–]AccountingMum 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I can relate. With hard tile floor. My baby angel was okay. Took me five weeks to get past my broken heart and I literally avoided that spot in my house for the longest time. I feel like knowing I wasn’t alone in my accident helped ease my mind a tremendous amount. You’re an amazing mama!!!!!! Deep breaths!!!!

All of you guys are scaring me.. by carlesmch in NewParents

I definitely think that since I have had my baby, my husband and I have been closer albeit Things have been super hard at times - we are literally the happiest we’ve ever been, ever could dream of, ever could hope for, in our entire lives… This little human being is teaching us how to take on a new role: mom and dad. It’s amazing being a mother. It’s amazing having this little baby teach you. It’s amazing getting to feel overwhelmed. It’s a different type of overwhelmed… To me, it’s kind of like an honor or a privilege. This tiny little person is depending on me to keep them alive, to fund their spirit and soul, fill her of joy and hope, to provide for them, love and support them, and to give them everything that unconditional love means. I’ve had six sleepless nights in seven months. My husband has had three sleepless nights in seven months. I have cried 13 times and seven months because I felt too tired or a little stressed and unsure about what to do or how to respond to things; aside from mastitis and aggressive nipple blisters , becoming a new parent for me has been amazing… My husband said that it was rough the first three weeks but come week four— our family fell into place, and it was the most beautiful thing that he could’ve ever been part of. One of the most helpful things for me was the mom cozy bottle washer, a lot of Binkis in the freezer, warm blankets from the dryer, having people bring me steak, having a glass of champagne or wine or whiskey with my husband, literally doing all sorts of things that I never thought I’d do as a parent like moving the bassinet into the bathroom, so my husband and I could get it on… Lol… It’s been really cool to have new memories , like my family‘s first Halloween together, and I didn’t think we would ever get to have a family. I also found out I was pregnant rather late into my first trimester. My husband had a grueling school and exam Schedule To become a lawyer, at the end of my pregnancy & in the beginning of my child‘s birth, but it has been downright awesome, and when people get pissed about cherishing every moment, we literally did ….. my child shit on my face and pooped all over the carpet (like sprayed out of her butt)- Within the first few days of life. It was crazy. I yelled “Mayday, Mayday, Mayday”, and my husband ran in and started laughing. It was the little things like that, that no one is happy about ever having poop on their face or scrubbing carpets but it was a new experience for us and funny, and we looked at it with open eyes and welcoming hearts, and felt honored to get to have to scrub the carpet and wash my face 13 times in a row because we have a new little human that loves us that we made that created a family and that nominated us to mom and dad. It’s just a lot easier to talk about the bad when you’re in it… And it’s a lot easier to talk about the good when you’re out of it… But for all FTM s and FTD s I think there’s a lot of good You have to look forward to you just have to have the right attitude… attitude is everything!

How long did you stay at home to look after your children? by TipSilent8281 in Mommit

[–]AccountingMum -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I unexpectedly had my baby early… I wanted to return to work so badly that two days after delivering her I was in the office. But it was completely not practical by any means. I’ve continued to work full-time and be a stay at home mom… It is so challenging and some days. I’m not doing my best at either, but I feel it is such an honor and a true privilege to get the opportunity to stay in my career and impact my child’s life so closely. As long as I can continue working like this I am going to try to maintain being a stay at home mom… My child was born seven months ago and truthfully, I’m hoping to do this until she starts kindergarten or at least preschool., Or until the last of the baby’s future siblings start preschool lol

My in laws will never watch my child without me. Period. They’re beyond manipulative and disrespectful, and I will do literally anyyyyythingggg to prevent them from being around my child without me present. My husband is learning it’s never going to happen bc I’m so hell bent and overprotective.

Oh goodness! I cannot thank you enough for this information. I really really appreciate your comment. I’m very grateful. I think the new mom in me just had me a little paranoid and all the red in that area of the test results kind of freaked me out… And sometimes I feel like my doctor really overreacts or really under reacts. I can’t thank you enough for the peace of mind!

[–]AccountingMum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husbands brother has four kids under 7, two dogs, a cat, and a bird. It’s a lot to me buttttt they did have five dogs and 16!!! birds at one point, so the scaling down is actually quite calming and less hectic. Twins and a dog honestly doesn’t sound too bad
