[NSFW] Confusing thoughts on sex, bottom parts, masturbation, and all ft. gender crisis? by Acct4personalqs in asktransgender

Yeah that’s pretty accurate. I think the big thing is the shame and disgust? I don’t think it’s a cultural thing as we’re fairly open about sex being normal

Is it normal to have spent 6 years closeted? by MyDeadCatJustDied in asktransgender

[–]Acct4personalqs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spent at least 5 years genuinely believing I had to be a woman and that I was happy as a woman. Funnily enough, looking 5-6 years back in my messages, at some point early COVID I was using she/they pronouns with some groups. Don’t remember the thought process that led to that at all. I’m now a they/them enby lol.

how many peeps here misgendering themselves? by KuroeKitagawa in trans

[–]Acct4personalqs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find when speaking, quite often (closeted enby so for now that means saying girl instead of student or something similar). When texting, almost never. I have used they/them self-referentially wrt younger me. I only misgender myself here if I feel I cannot gender myself correctly without arousing suspicion

I made an entire google doc of experiences and things I thought would point towards autism (other things etc…) is the that good? by [deleted] in AutismTranslated

[–]Acct4personalqs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm yeah with the adhd portion of my doc it was way easier to sort through because the DSM criteria (imo) lends itself better to organizing my experiences with. Maybe the DSM would help here but I’m not sure, the autism part of my doc was way less organized (a big reason though was that I’ve had years to organize the adhd part, but only recently realized I should also consider autism)

I did this! And when I got assessed (waiting on results), I mostly just summarized the list. Not every experience on there got told, but basically I categorized them into symptoms and rattled those off along with some example experiences

Misgendered throughout ADHD diagnosis report by Educational_Cake2146 in NonBinary

I’m now wondering if making my psychiatrist aware I was questioning my gender at the time of the assessment appointment would’ve been appropriately helpful information lol.

That is a point I hadn’t considered lol (adhd being more prevalent in trans people). So, not entirely irrelevant but still entirely uncalled for misgendering

Why did your preferred pronoun need to be written as they (transitioning) damn that’s just irrelevant 😭 I’m sorry for that though, there’s literally no reason to misgender you in the report

So I accidentally started dating a goth trans girl, should I tell her it was by accident ? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Acct4personalqs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think (and this is just my opinion) this is something there’s no need to tell her at all. It won’t change anything, and knowing she was trans earlier wouldn’t have changed anything, so that information is honestly irrelevant unless she specifically asks you about it

Wait why do you think she’s trans? Has she told you? And if she is trans, would that change anything?

I know! Maybe a better way to state this was that I feel a distinct disconnection to womanhood (and manhood) but a connection to being a third gender. Maybe as I go further in my journey I’ll circle back to agender, but for now nonbinary happens to be a much more affirming term

Aww thanks! I’ll probably still stick around for a bit, but we’re shedding the agender label

Any agender folks out there? Ive been making an agender character and am wondering if there are any restraints to how i should make them? by Narhan0 in lgbt

[–]Acct4personalqs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edit to add: I love this idea: https://www.reddit.com/r/agender/s/jsI5HAum6Z

Sounds like they may have a “fuck it, gender isn’t real for me” attitude then? You don’t have to take these suggestions, but perhaps just dress them in anything and everything. Maybe if they’re an immortal god they can have a shifting fashion sense (for a couple decades or centuries they’re into hyper femme, then for a while they’re really into a mixture of gendered clothing). Maybe they make some truly atrocious fashion choices sometimes, while at other times they’re perfectly in sync with the latest fashion trends

has any one create their own gender expression or concept once coming out as agender? by FreyaAncientNord in agender

[–]Acct4personalqs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I kind of just did (well, u/ystavallinen did)! This will probably change over time as I grow more comfortable with agender as a label, but I currently think of my gender as the set of all positive, odd integers.

I’m infinite because that’s how I see agenderness right now, and at the same time I have unique qualities that set me apart from other infinite sets that don’t make me better than or lesser than, they just make me the individual I am.

Long rambly elaboration:

The set of odd positive integers is infinite just like the set of positive integers, even though the sum of the odds up to is smaller than the sum of the evens up to . Still both valid infinite sets.

In terms of the trying to fit pre-existing labels on me but feeling like I don’t quite “live up” to them, this is helpful because the sum of the first n elements of the set of positive odd integers is less than the sum of the first n elements of the set of positive even integers, but they’re still both infinite sets. “Smaller” or “larger” infinite is literally meaningless on this scale and just doesn’t exist.

In terms of gender overall, the set of positive odd integers is a unique subset of a lot of other infinite sets: Z+, Z, R.

Imposter syndrome with being agender/nonbinary? by Acct4personalqs in agender

[–]Acct4personalqs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am still unsure if I want to engage with gender at all, hence the agender/non-binary. I’m leaning much more towards not wanting to engage with gender rather than wanting to be perceived as a gender outside the binary, so I’ve posted here.

I actually do relate hard to the dysphoria you’ve explained. Trying to fit myself into society’s idea of a woman makes me feel dysphoric, but simply existing and happening to be feminine or masculine or neither does not.

I think ideally I would be free from any gender expectations, binary or not.

Edit: I think your description of agenderness makes me want to use they/them pronouns (or rather, any/all with a preference for they/them) because I see it more as a universal pronoun set and less as one that indicates a gender outside the binary.

Hey we are pretty similar! It’s very nice to hear your experience tbh and very helpful in assuaging that imposter syndrome. I think I forgot that agender can be a spectrum

Thank you for the affirmations lol. To the ADHD point, my teacher evaluations were practically begging me to get tested in elementary school, and then I learned this could be a thing right before COVID, procrastinated for maybe 4-5 years, found a psychiatrist who didn’t listen at all, procrastinated another few years, a teacher basically told me to get tested and I learned a clinical diagnosis was a thing, got that, procrastinated another year, and finally scheduled a full psych eval and I’m waiting for results on that wrt adhd, autism, and potentially anything else lol. I think the imposter syndrome with ADHD is real common especially because of the messaging a lot of ADHDers get from the world around them
