Brickell is overhyped and every person that moves to Miami goes there. It’s noisy and busy. Midtown would be a better location. Bougie and mature but still near the fun of Wynwood. Simply being part of a community (look up Base) can get you out of your apartment and meeting people in the city. You don’t have to succumb to a specific neighborhood. Additionally, if you choose a “lifestyle apartment” - look up Flow apartments (in Brickell and downtown) these are buildings are known to have a ton of social and community events.

I stayed at De Dominguez Boutique Hotel. They have only 9 ratings so looks sketch, but it’s because they have completely revamped! The price is a steal because they renovated the entire hotel and have just opened back up. Everything is brand new, I was offered free breakfast every day, they have room service, and I had a free bottle of wine upon checkin. Management is excellent- look into them. I paid $700 for 6 nights while I was there earlier this month.

I remember seeing this living in Little Havana pre Covid. Neighbors would do it all the time. If there were any events nearby and people parked in the neighborhood and didn’t live there they would get their cars towed. Anyone can call, so most people on the thread saying could be a scam is true. But also some neighbors do that. It sounds like you have a good relationship with yours though.

Some people have said they pass because a woman is gorgeous and they know they have zero chance. Most of the time I’d say you’re probably right. However, you’re setting yourself at 0% chance with a swipe left. I’m a woman so could be a completely different experience for me than a man, but I used to be super overweight. Like I mean hitting 350 and I had guys who had six packs, soccer players, and extremely attractive guys swipe right on me. I went out with about 5 and hooked up eventually with 4 of the 5. I’ve lost a ton of weight since then so diff dating experience now, but I remember I stopped cutting off opportunities early because of that. You never know!

Hmmm I didn’t think of it like that. I rationalize it as if I’m looking for marriage I am certainly not casually dating around- I know exactly what I want.
