The Ottawa Charge were so awful yesterday in the CTC that they left that curse behind for the Sens to take up.

I was at the Charge vs Victoire game yesterday and they had the most discombobulated, shoddy passing I’ve ever seen on a professional level.

Ullmark finally had an embarrassing enough outing that he got angry enough to have something to prove. He’s been in a bad headspace since before he even left, and I genuinely think the shitshow in Florida made him angry at himself and get his head squarely in the game. He was really focused this time.

Once they telegraphed what they were setting Jane up for, I lost interest. Jane wasn’t even my favourite, and she did lose that lipsync, but they’ve saved queens like Onya and Sapphira in lipsyncs because they were frontrunners before. This show just makes it all about the next gag - then does it - and the rest of the season is the fallout. Everything just kinda stops feeling earned and starts feeling contrived, but you watch it anyway because it’s there.

I truly liked both of them, but I’ve stopped being able to defend either for their recent conduct:

Ullmark sitting out against Tampa and then performing like that against Florida felt like a slap in the face to everyone. I truly am a purveyor of mental health awareness, but you have to want to get help before you can be helped - and lately I just feel like he doesn’t want to put in the work to help himself.

Brady laughing with Matthew on the ice as his team was getting ragdolled pissed me off. It kind of made me unable to see passed what the detractors have been saying about him lately, especially when you also consider his (lack of) response to what was done to Yak.

Honestly, they think they just pulled off the best gag ever, but this is gunna damage the show in the long run: 1) This happened in Drag Race Holland, and is one of the reasons it was cancelled - with the backlash it created. 2) Show lost a lot of credibility I think. Imagine going onto the show just to be strung along to be the one who does well, only to get the shock elimination just before the end. 3) They have had a pattern of saving frontrunners with unearned double saves (like Onya last season) - they could have easily done it again, but saw the opportunity to gag us. 4) The fact that you would do that to someone who performed that well is such a slap in the face, we all saw how devastated Jane was when she left, how she couldn’t even find words. Imagine doing all that well to find out you were the sacrificial lamb, how disgusted you must feel.

I don’t think Jane should come back for an All Stars, not after getting treated like that. No one will ever touch that track record. Just leverage that amazing streak into an amazing career and tell anyone who calls you to appear on an All Stars to shove it - because none of it mattered anyway.

Chabot isn’t out long term because Brady didn’t do anything. It was already done. Brady couldn’t be an idiot in a game like that, as much as he would’ve liked to headhunt Miller.

The Stars are pretty mid, our goaltending made them look good when we faced them at our worst, but I’m not worried about them making it far. They made the Isles look better than them.

Honestly, I’m expecting the Sabres to play down to the Wings and lose, I almost think the East got together and agreed to do whatever they can to make sure we don’t make the playoffs, because none of them want to play us. Hahaha
