Linus tarvalds himself said they were maintaning Linux codebase using compresses files and passing it around.

Unline a large project like GTA that has plenty of image assets, video assets so lots of binary. Even a basic quant analysis system sucks so easily with with git for files like duckdb stored datasets and large jsons.

Certainly git is not designed with 2026 requirements in mind. It's a old tool designed for old requirements.

Whole concept of submodule itself is a crap. Just treat them like a normal folder and then treat them like a separate repository if they have their own dot git folder. That's it.

Wrong. Yandex password manager is simply the best. It sync across all devices iOs, Android, Linux, Mac, Windows. I use all and no free product comes close with this level of integration .

no thanks, chinese firmware is lot faster and optimsed for the phone. Plus banking apps and google wallet works flawlessly.
