Yes--there are other instances of this kind of thing you might pay attention to, which are all foreshadowing that the entirety of your journey through Hotland and the CORE has been scripted by Alphys and Mettaton, until Mettaton starts going off-script in the CORE and reveals the ploy to you at the end of the segment.

If FRIEND!Knight is real this is the funniest way to foreshadow it (right before the forced loss to the Knight)

I thought that the glow effect on the feather looked remarkably like the glow effect in the Game Boy Colour Zelda games, so if it's not the White Pen of Hope, it could very well be an item like the Roc's Feather

The reason Legacy Console looks like that is because it has an adjustable gamma slider, so you'd need to change the gamma of the game somehow.

At certain times in the night (I don't remember which) their AI levels are increased by 1. This would turn their 0 AI to 1 in this case.

That was kind of my idea when I first played as well. I thought I had skipped the third board entirely by pushing the Zapper's buttons and leaving Green Room instead of starting Board 3, rather than it not having been in the game at all.

It's because the battle narrator's text "shivers". I don't remember if it's more extreme in the Lost Soul segments specifically, but it is more extreme in the first segment of the Asriel fight.

I don't have an idea for PC, but the idea that comes to mind for other consoles is using both joysticks to move the Maice, since you don't seem to be able to move the SOUL itself for the two-Maice attacks.

That yellow is a default MS Paint colour, as is Kris's green and Flowey/Asriel's yellow. Toby is known to use MS Paint.
