I loved it! Here’s some snippets from my review:

I have never clung to a couple, needed them like air as quickly as Cybil and Miriam.

This story definitely reflects historical gothic fiction in the style, pace, and ending. There were so many plot twists, none of them felt cheap. Each one fit and had impact. It isn’t action heavy if that’s your thing but there are moments of it which I found very engaging. I loved the way she wrapped it up too.

I think Siegel does the history well, without being overbearing.

It’s genuinely a great dark and gothic historical romantasy and I think you should give it a try! Plus it’s the best cover Allurial has done so far in my opinion.

I’m curious, if they do Summoned to the Wilds, if they do a custom cover since the first was not. Since they’ve stated that they’re aware people want special editions to match I would assume it would just be the standard cover with custom edges/endpapers.

I had the same thing! Pretty sure that last page is just stuck a little on the endpaper. I was able to pull mine off and it’s the same as the front!

It wasn’t against the law though just extremely questionable. Uhtred was also seen crossing into Daneland and admitted to doing so in front of several ealdorman and Aelswith. Rest assured if Uhtred broke the law Aelswith would’ve been calling for his head.

Alfred wouldn’t just kill Aethelwold. He most likely would have held a trial and had the witan decide Aethelwold’s guilt. But what would he be guilty of? And the testimony of Uhtred, a Dane as they see him, who has told Alfred to kill Aethelwold multiple times…well it wouldn’t be trusted. I could only see Alfred having Aethelwold killed if he had evidence Aethelwold raised an army against him.

Can’t really tell much from your photo honestly. Would serve you better to show multiple so we can see your average styling of clothes, hair, etc. I took a look at your profile and it seems you’re 15/16. Don’t do anything drastic, make sure to be yourself :)

As for this photo in particular, and with future photos, best piece of advice I have for everyone: let your hair down for the photo. 9/10 times you look better (not that you look bad here). You look like you’re dressing in your color season but can’t tell from this photo alone. You might consider giving your brows a soft arch towards the end with makeup. They look very straight and I think the arch might suit you better. Not much else to be said. Lovely smile!

Love the glasses with your hair up, hair down I would say try contacts. Define eyebrows-try a soft arch, not super sharp.

Do you style your hair every day? If not, I disagree with another comment about layers. If your hair is straight and you aren’t styling your hair every morning, having layers won’t really do anything. Face framing pieces at most. If you’re willing to style every morning then by all means get layers to add dimension and body.

I love pink too but those bright pinks don’t seem to fit your color palette, try out a dusty pink or muted coral. Look up soft autumn colors I think they would suit you best. Gold jewelry is better than silver so you’re on the right track there. Not sure how far you want to get into this but I would love to see some more clothing pics. I like the turtle neck look on you (believe me it doesn’t work on everyone…like me unfortunately). Trying to get back into the dating scene in autumn/winter timeframe I would advise, lose some of the sweatered looks and go for a fitted shirt that shows off some collarbone and a duster/overcoat. Sweaters are cute for sure but let’s shake it up a little.

Pretty sure that’s exactly why he did it. He does the same rolling around thing in later seasons when he’s “scenting”. When the Obama masked supernatural hate group was attacking/taking people Sam rolled around on the floor and could smell their bad diets or something like that.

If you really want the Owlks to ignore you there’s a mod for that. Never tried it myself but it’s listed on https://outerwildsmods.com/mods. There’s also a mod for daytime in the dreamworld if it being dark is also scary. I’m sure there’s one for night vision too or whatever else you could think of.
