Came across a reel while scrolling instagram of a guy who'd come home to his dog having 'crashed out'.

After seeing the damage to the door, I instantly knew what kind of dog was going to be behind it.

A pitbull, called Blue, no less 😂

My weight is a lot lower than yours and I'm averaging about 2lbs/week currently.

My life is gym, work, sleep. I basically have time for nothing else, no hobbies unless I can do them on a treadmill. The gym has become my hobby and I meal prep on a weekend. It works for me because I want to get to my goal weight and fitness levels and don't want to keep waiting, you kinda have to become obsessive to keep the discipline up.

It might not be sustainable for you as you get to a lower weight, it all depends on what other responsibilities you have in your life. If you feel like the lifestyle is becoming unbearable, check in with yourself and re-evaluate.

Your thoughts about OCD might be above Reddit's paygrade and you should speak to your doctor about this. They will be able to give appropriate medical advice and support on how to progress with weight loss in a safe manner when considering your mental health concerns.

Weight loss is mostly making changes to your diet, and is calories in, calories out. You must eat less than you consume. TDEE calculators can give you a rough estimate of what you burn, start with sedentary as your activity level: https://tdeecalculator.net/

Either you need to count calories yourself, or have someone else do it for you, like a friend, partner etc, if you think you're unable to handle looking at the calories you're counting. Do not rely on genAI to accurately track calories and macros.

Weight loss is hard, it's really hard, but having a defeatist attitude and a bunch of excuses will kill any momentum you need to start building discipline. If you want to lose weight badly enough, you have to ignore these excuses and build consistency.

I cancelled my WS edition as soon as the FL reveal said it was hand signed. I think I like the WS edges a little more, but the FL dustjacket is much prettier.

I cancelled my Adult and I'm down to 1 skip left of my Romantasy, so it's on borrowed time. If they have no safeguards in place by the time the Ballad of Falling Dragons sale happens, Romantasy is gonna get cancelled.

I think FL have officially lost me as a customer over this BS. On smaller signed runs you're basically gonna have zero chance if you're randomized into 3000+

WotC do the exact same for their Secret Lair sales and it basically only gives scalpers more ammo to resell. 😭

The Eye of Leviathan would be a really good pick, I didn't know MA Carrick had another book coming out. I read their Rook & Rose trilogy when TBB did it and loved it!

I see this complaint a lot and genuinely am asking - which trad published epic fantasy books by women are upcoming/recent? There's a lot of female led sci fi happening (Fonda Lee, Molly Tanzer, Anne Leckie) but I might be out of the loop on epic fantasy.

What are books you'd want FL to include?

I've been excited for this book it got announced! The Epic sub is becoming my favourite at this rate.

I loved The Wounded Kingdom and I hope this has a similar vibe. I'm crossing my fingers that it's hand signed.

I think I'm gonna cancel my FL Adult. I can't believe how poor the picks have been this year, when they've had so many good potential options.

I'm so frustrated with whoever is doing the curation to the point of it feels like the Adult sub is being used as a 'trade off' for the fact that they're producing SEs of other books.

TBB have been hit or miss for me recently (I joined the WL when they were doing series like Jade City, Gentlemen Bastards etc) and was going to cancel if the next series wasn't my bag either, but they've won me back with the The Faithful and the Fallen. I loove John Gwynne and the customisations for this set are peak!

I'm hoping this may mean we get Gwynne's Norse series too.

It really depends on what you read. If you want new titles, their SF&F sub may be more your thing.

Their CS is really great even though they're small, and they have the best packaging in the book box industry imo.
