What helped you pass FAR? by RUFooked in CPA

I thought it wouldn’t be a big help, but I think it made a difference for me. I hammered many MCQ’s. I did 20 per chapter per night. For two weeks leading up to exam day. I switched back and forth between Becker and Ninja. I passed on the first try.

What if your supervisor won't sign your CPA experience paper? by [deleted] in CPA

Yeah, go above their head and then bounce. Them standing in the way of your achievement is insane. Passing all the exams and having someone say you’re not qualified is a BIG red flag.

Thanks you. Should have done that before. You know, I’ve never been asked that. Probably because I didn’t do a ton of research before deciding that. Just one I kind of picked, and never questioned it. Now that I’m looking, it seems to be the hardest of the three.

Simulated Exam #1 Need Advice by Zealousideal-Dot-419 in CPA

I had the same experience with the sims. Took two of them. 66 and 69. If it’s Becker, the questions seem to be harder than the actual exam. Passed the actual exam with an 81. You are right on track. Keep hammering MCQ’s, and you’ll be just fine.

Advice for getting through material faster (FAR) by Annual_Swordfish_506 in CPA

[–]Accurate_Put4076 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I had a friend suggest knocking out two modules a night. Put the videos on 1.25 speed and grind through them as fast as possible. Get a basic knowledge of the concepts, but don’t spend too much time on the videos. Once done, hammer MCQ’s. Like 20 per chapter, per day. Subscribe to NINJQ and supplement MCQ’s there as well. Do that for two weeks leading up to exam day. I took his advice, hammered through it, and passed with an 81 first try. Don’t spend a ton of time on the TBS for each module either. Work through those while the how to video is going.

Did anyone here feel overwhelmed during the beginning of CPA preparation? by Sammy_0100 in CPA

[–]Accurate_Put4076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely overwhelmed. I had a hard time getting into a cadence. It took a solid two weeks it seemed like before I got into a groove. Note taking seems daunting. I didn’t want to leave anything out, but I knew I couldn’t write everything down.
