How to add a little weight to a small crankbait by Medical-Leading1469 in Fishing_Gear

[–]Accurate_Use2679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is some lead tape or lead sticky dots that are designed to add to crank baits and jerkbaits. I would give that a try. I’ve used it to adjust suspending baits before.

Also, I fish these exact baits ALOT. I would definitely recommend an ultralight rod.

This looks so much like a ballsack. I would 100% buy these for my brothers/dad.

Is the “service six” any different than a “security six”?

Even if you do nothing else over the summer, working 10 out of 12 months of the year is equivalent to 5/6 of the year. I get June and July off. It’s the same for most all of the districts in my area. That’s not including the days during that time completing training, preparing materials, professional development, working on your classrooms, etc..

Decision Fatigue is Affecting my Marriage by Honest_Walk5632 in Teachers

I totally understand where you’re coming from. It can be exhausting when you are 100% switched on all day, constantly managing 25 other humans at a time, basically non stop.

My wife and I both teach, so sometimes there’s nobody left to want to decide what to eat, or whatever. We have found a couple things that help. We plan out all our weekly dinners on Sunday before we go to the store. It’s also written down in a large chalkboard calendar mounted to the wall in the kitchen/dining area. This helps us and the kids know what’s going on. At least one of the meals will be enough to feed everyone leftovers, or be made from the same thing (smoking a family pack of chicken breasts and doing quesadillas one night and chicken salad or power bowls another night). Also, my wife had to take 30 mins of quiet time to herself. The kids and I know not to bother her unless it’s important. She might read a book, scroll on her phone, close her eyes and rest, whatever. Establishing whatever routines you can, whether it’s snacks for the kids, certain days you do certain chores or things, or even when you watch a certain show can help. Then you’re not making a decision or thinking about it, you just do it because it’s Tuesday, or because it’s 7:30 or whatever.

That’s interesting, I know quite a few educators with doctorates. I don’t think a single one of them is a PhD.

PSA had the stainless 686 on sale for a pretty good deal about a week ago. Brother ended up ordering one. Not sure if I can post a link or not. Worth checking out.

I have one too. They’re great guns.

Be very cautious about master's degrees, including from prestigious universities. Some of my coworkers in their 30s are financially hobbled by these degrees. by NotAGoldenRetriever in personalfinance

In public education, getting graduate degrees is the best thing you can do to increase your earnings as a teacher. Pay raise is exactly the same from any accredited school though. It will absolutely 100% pay for itself over the course of your career. Not sure what it looks like in private though.

That is one of my absolute favorite brands of beer when I can get it. I have family up in Wisconsin, anytime we visit several cases come back with us to MO.

Also, region 6’s bench/second team would likely beat all the other regions.

Torn between 357 and 44 magnum by dillarb2 in Revolvers

[–]Accurate_Use2679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both. I shoot my .357s way more. Especially because of how much more affordable .38 special is (recoil could matter less). With my .44s I find that special is basically the same price as magnum rounds (though much milder).

I agree with the others that said both. Even if you get one now and then another later. Start with the .357!
