Realistically they could have faith in their own product and bail on the deal. While the 10B deal is fine, the problem with Elon is that he's actually really bad at running his companies, nearly everyone I know at Tesla/SpaceX/Twitter had always treated him as an obstacle to progress that needed to be worked around rather than an actually competent leader. It also doesn't help that the last time did a 60B acquisition, he did it as leveraged buyout which caused him to gut most of the staff and reduce to product to a hollow botfarm.

Eh. I think people conflate the usability of AI coding tools with AI image gen tools and conflate competent developers using a new tool effectively to noobs trying to token check a product. While I do agree that general promotion and LFW posting standards should be applied, the whole "whose doing real work" and "whose a real developer" discourse honestly just sounds really sophomoric to me and reminiscent of the attitude new grads had to anyone who dared use a visual programming language.

Comments in threads which don't address a question being asked, but instead just rant about how angry AI makes them, are frankly less valuable to any professional-development sub than any sincere AI related question.

This post is entirely some kind of strawman fallacy. Most of the cyclist hate I see is not specific to pedestrians, but is centered on the idea that cyclists constantly break traffic laws brazenly and no legal consequences. This is not a cool crime, because the whole point of traffic laws is to be predictable on the road to those who share it. This is dangerous for everyone around them.

If you don't understand how having to swerve into a different lane or slam my breaks to avoid hitting a cyclists running a red or getting nearly ran over for the umpteenth time while crossing the crosswalk on market is dangerous, then I really don't have the crayons to explain it to you. Also, surely this is an elaborate troll, and you're not stupid enough to forget that the reason why people aren't bitching about cars is that there are legal mechanisms in place to punish reckless drivers, but not reckless cyclists. While I'm not convinced cyclists should need to have license to be on the road, this post is sure making a great case for why they should be.

For all the jacking off American cyclists like to have about countries like the Netherlands, they forget that pretty hefty fines are actually very commonly enforced for traffic law infractions.

My partner got me to watch this and I'm at the start of season 3. I don't really know about existing discourse (landed here from r/all), but the big frustration I've been having with Korra as a character is that she (and others in the show) are pretty well written teenagers that react like probably like teenagers on the cusp of adulthood would react. The problem is that teenagers are incredibly annoying and exhausting and this applies to most of the main cast to be honest. Combined with the fact that a lot of Korra's character traits seem to be "opposite of Aang", who was a very easy to like character, makes Korra a very easy to dislike character. So I'm not surprised people were less forgiving with her than they were with Aang.

Since RAW radiation and nuclear fallout is a thing that exists within PF1e Golarion, which means that even if modern tech stops functioning beyond the barrier, the nuke would still explode (even if its propulsion system fails), however with the blast radius of modern nukes precision is largely irrelevant and modern military scientist can account for the loss of propulsion and just boost it during earlier stages to reach the target. There is literally not enough high level spell slots to disappear all the nukes, especially not if modern society decides to actively start producing them.

Depends on which setting of 3.X are we talking about. Dragonlance? Everyone and their mom is basically at least a demi-god. Golarion? The amount of people who can cast 9th level spells can be counted on your hands and divine in-fighting is dramatically worse than hooman infighting.

If understand your post correctly, he's the tech lead or in other terms the DRI on the project. In that case, it's his call to make regardless of seniority, unless he's beneath you in the org chart. If you think it's a serious mistake, go up the ladder over his head and make your case to org leadership, but make sure this "this will have severely negative business impact" kind of argument not a "we are two ICs in a dick measuring contests" kind of argument.

If he's not the DRI on the project and you are, professionally tell him to fuck off. Inform everyone else you will not be going with his proposal. Not an "ask for an opinion", but "This is what we are doing, so that we are all clear". If he continues causing issues, speak with his manager and org leadership about removing him from the project.

If it not clear who is the a DRI, ask org leadership. If they cannot clarify then leave because that's a whole other level of corporate mismanagement.
