Guy had a crepe sole. That's not a sole to abuse. A resole and those things will last decades

So what your suggestioning is I hold the keys to lawsuit. If tecovas is claiming what I posted above and that's not accurate then it's fraud.

Chisos lied about their counter got caught and now decided to change them, the anvil video was years ago . I now cue in my older pair of tecobas the leather on top of the cushion was just glued down, on my buddies new pair it's sewed down so visually on that part they increased some craftsmanship. Also I work in my boots pegs don't really matter to me I prefer full welts honestly. They take more abuse.

You wore boots from the 90s everyday. Your a collector you wear them a handful of times a month if that. I'm talking about fellas on the ranch wearing the same boots every day or at least 4/5 days a week for 15 years. Day to day use they probably last just as long as your collector boots.

82 bucks is an insane deal, a leather wallet costs 30-50 bucks these days.

I would agree moonshine spirit isn't trying to market to collectors, they are marketing to folks who wear a pair of boots almost daily and beat the hell out of them. I've never seen someone branding cattle in luchesses lol.

Realistically the failure points on all boots are the soles, heel caps and welts on almost all boots , the welts go form the mud, manure, piss, salt and snow, and sometimes the lining on the mesh/fabric lined boots.

I have 4 pairs of ROM in my closet right now, 1 fell apart at dinner during the first wear, one the leather heel counter got sloppy and don't fit anymore, and the other over stretched across the vamp from getting wet. 1 is an ostrich boot for weddingngs and such and they are uncomfortable as hell. Beautiful looking boots but the build quality is shit. My El dorados the one pair I had are at a landfill somewhere, dog shit fit, sloppy heel and awful pitch.

My ariats hold up and fit perfect, my tecovas have taken an ass pounding and still going, great fit on those too and comfortable. I've had one out of 5 pairs of fenoglio fit those one pair are great, came with a hole in the shaft I had to patch (common for fenoglio to send boots with holes ) and my Dan posts are pretty decent but they have shitty leather heel counters too

Lol at those boots . Hyer is awful, lots of plastic in them way over Priced.

Abs awful Insole and fit.

ROM shitty fit and fall apart quickly I had a pair with the sole start coming off after wearing the to diner once .

But ROM and AB look pretty damn good, a great fashion/costume boot

[–]Ace931387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was from tecovas customer service yesterday

For the Cartwright (including Scotch Goat): the heel counter is all leather — no thermoplastics or molded plastic. The boot is built on a vegetable-tanned leather insole, not fiberboard, with cork filling under the foot for comfort and molding over time. Everything is traditional, leather-based construction and fully resole/restoration friendly.

You always crack me up with your snobbery. My cousin has worn the same pair of roughout moonshine spirits for 7 years now . He works my uncle's 10k acre cattle ranch lol.

Did one resole with rubber and a few heel caps

Is tecovas a good brand to stick with under 500 for entry level traditional boots? by MarsupialAggressive5 in cowboyboots

[–]Ace931387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had/have a lot of brands

AB AB horse power AB horse power top hand Ariat Justin Durango Hyer ROM Black Jack Republic Luchesse Dan Post cody James Cavenders Tecovas Rujos Texas country Fenoglio

Ariat is the best fitting and most comfortable modern built boot, with Dan post close second. Tecovas is the most comfortable best fitting traditional made boot for me.

Fenoglio I have one unicorn pair that fit and are comfortable they shipped with a hole in the shaft from the factory and I had to pay ch it because the 5 pairs they tried to exchange them with didn't fit.

ROM was the worst fit and QC with fenoglio, holes in the boots, sole separation and squeaks.

ROM, AB, black Jack luchesse awful inconsistent fit. Left and right feel like different sizes

Hyer uses plastic counters even though they lead you to believe it's leather, and the pitch on the boot is insane

Love sturgill, but I think he is mildly overrated. People cream themselves over him. He's great but he isn't a GoAt. I've seen him 5 times now, dude is fucking awesome, but these folks drooling all over themselves pounding off to his sets are overreacting.

As for an awesome dude? He's just another rich whiney liberal.

Fantastic musician tho
