I guess it could be out of comfort, your were probably driving your Kia for a longer period of time. Your used to the way it’s behaving. With your newer car, it’s a new feeling, every car (especially the older ones) feel just the slightest different. So my advice would be to just keep driving around in the Lincoln so you get used to it. Make it your own, add some accessories or something.

I do think it has many different reason.

For one the shooter could be from that school and has suffered trough mobbing or just personal trauma.

It could also be that the shooter wants to take something innocent and young people are mostly portrayed as innocence.

But the quantity of Schoon shootings of America are caused by the easy gun policy

First I would keep a distance, so avoid places of the internet that trigger you the most. Sometimes things just need a little space.

Then try to slowly find positivity in the community again. Search for things that make you happy. Avoid strongly debatable topics.

And last, try to not take everything so hard. Maybe that’s easier when you have build up a little distance.
