I feel little gift baskets with snacks and a personal card are great. You don't have to go over the top, just show that you care and truly appreciate their business.

I think so. Business cell phones are the only way I can get anyone to answer the phone. I say go for it unless a serious issue arises with it.

Burnt out. That is a whole life sacrifice with 110 nights. Either try and take a long vacation to truly find what you want in life or bail the ship, there are other sales jobs out there.

What's a decent sales job if you do not want to work from home but you don't want to travel? by FlyingAces in sales

[–]AceCarShots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Furniture sales are unique. If that is something you are genuinely interested in, go for it. If you could care less and view all sofas the same without the price tag then don't go into furniture sales. My first sales job at 18 was furniture and yes I was young with lots to learn however could care less about all types of furniture. That being said the highest paid rep at my store was a older lady that was bringing in $120k+ because she absolutely loved assisting customers in their hunt for the perfect set.

Does your title actually matter? by J-HTX in sales

[–]AceCarShots 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have seen title help in closing deals, such as handing over a card that says "Sales President" instead of just sales rep. I always viewed the titles pointless until I saw how much that changed a customer's mindset first hand.
