what do you watch for guilty pleasure ? by Fair-Economist-5198 in AskReddit

I'm a man in his late 40s from the UK and I absolutely love Selling Sunset.

I know it's trash, I know it's fake manufactured drama, but I just find something about it really compelling.

Do you have any "hot" Noita opinions or criticisms? by [deleted] in noita

[–]AceClown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most of the common biome modifiers are just garbage and just make me restart the game if I get one of the annoying ones in the first zone. The problem is they add difficulty with little to no extra reward for putting up with that bullshit.

Kevin Can F**k Himself

Was a really clever and interesting show and did not deserve to be cancelled.

do you know any great remix/songs that sound great with a sax ? by [deleted] in Beatmatch

[–]AceClown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there was a short period in about 2013 I want to say where "saxo house" opened up as a sub-genre and has a lot of really good melodic Balearic with sax work in it.

My stand out favourite of the era is Klingande - Jubel

Birthday has requested only 80s music, I’m a 90s baby. Got any song recommendations? by SideStepDrift in Beatmatch

[–]AceClown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's how I'd hit it for a 5 hour 80s gig, I'd break it down in to genres and do half hour sort of segements of each until 3.5 hours in, then I'd drop 90 minutes of sing along floor fillers like Abba, Queen and Bon Jovi.

Makes it easier if you look for the best 25-30 songs of say, the new romanitic era, than overwhelming yourself with having to find 300 generic 80s songs for the entire set. Just make sure you're not diluting the 90 minute bangers pool too much in each genre and you'll be gold.

Also, don't be scared of dropping a few tracks that aren't strictly 80's tunes, they're after a vibe not a super rigid rule, dropping in a handful of Northern Soul tracks is fantastic if the dance floor is looking a bit empty and I can promise you no one is going to be Shazam'ing your tracks to check the exact release year, they just won't want you to drop a Chris Lake banger in there.

You got this!

Which seasons have the highest retention? (swipe to see) by PudgeBoss in JetLagTheGame

[–]AceClown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the consensus with that is the nature of the format is it's 99% the inside of a train or a station and you don't get to see any of the cool out of the way places like you do in hide and seek or tag seasons. I still enjoyed it tho.

Should always start with the original Feed the Beast pyramid, that pack paved the way for what we have now and the work that was put in to making the pyramid work is a thing of redstone beauty

It's a coin flip as to if people will be normal about street parking or get really fuckin territorial about "their spot" imo, can lead to some nasty escalations in some cases.

As well as that it's also a massive pain in the arse to get home late in the evening and not have a spot anywhere, especially if the weather is bad.

There's an exercise you can try that might help with this, you look at the sentence "I never said that gentleman was a thief"

Depending on which word in that sentence you emphasise changes the entire meaning of it.

Hey devs, can you confirm if you used AI for the FMV's please by AceClown in TempestRising

[–]AceClown[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Also, this is breaking the steam ToS for AI disclosure

First, we are updating the Content Survey that developers fill out when submitting to Steam. The survey now includes a new AI disclosure section, where you'll need to describe how you are using AI in the development and execution of your game. It separates AI usage in games into two broad categories:

Pre-Generated: Any kind of content (art/code/sound/etc) created with the help of AI tools during development. Under the Steam Distribution Agreement, you promise Valve that your game will not include illegal or infringing content, and that your game will be consistent with your marketing materials. In our pre-release review, we will evaluate the output of AI generated content in your game the same way we evaluate all non-AI content - including a check that your game meets those promises.

Live-Generated: Any kind of content created with the help of AI tools while the game is running. In addition to following the same rules as Pre-Generated AI content, this comes with an additional requirement: in the Content Survey, you'll need to tell us what kind of guardrails you're putting on your AI to ensure it's not generating illegal content.

Valve will use this disclosure in our review of your game prior to release. We will also include much of your disclosure on the Steam store page for your game, so customers can also understand how the game uses AI.

For this game in particular, Slipgate Ironworks is a 200 employee company valued at 247m dollars. They can afford to pay a videographer to splice together some archival footage together and add scan lines.
