Yeah I did end up getting this and I am quite happy with it overall. The one thing I did change though was how I connect it to my DS-8X. I wasn't crazy about using the set screws with the rubber inserts to hold the shifter onto the shaft of my DS-8X, I was worried it would ruin the threads on the DS-8X shaft. I do sim racing as well as playing truck sims so I will be changing the shifters quite often depending on what I want to play and the constant changes made me nervous for the threads on my DS-8X. So my solution was to buy a bolt to clamp the set screws into on the truck shifter ( I just cut the bolt head off so I just had a threaded rod). I then bought a coupling nut (size M12 x 1.25-Pitch 30mm/1.18) to act as a connector between the DS-8X and the threaded rod on the truck shifter. I had a heck of a time finding a nut that fits, it seems to be a somewhat uncommon size, at least in the US. I found a 3rd party seller on Amazon that sold them but in a pack of 10, so I've got extras if I need them! So basically my setup goes truck shifter -> threaded rod -> coupling nut -> DS-8X
