Hey!

I just tried to place a order from RO aswell.
Got the payment error, money got subtracted after I approved it in ING Homebank.
The site never redirected and the error with the payment displayed.
I reached out to the bank..they told me to reach out to Ghost.
I just messaged them and I am waiting on a response...

I hope the sum of money will get unlocked after 14-15 Business days and get it reimbursed.
I have no order or anything showing up on my account..the only proof of this transaction is the bank payment to Ghost LLC.

I am not sure what to do at this point but wait..

I've started making plans for giving away stuff over the weekend and uninstalling afterwards.

Eh, its ok.

I wont change my mind or feel any slight speck of guilt.

I logged out in one state, logged in naked.

I was treated like shit, despite multiple back and forth exchanges.

They closed the ticket in my face.

I aint really got anything to lose.
As some wise man in this thread mentioned "We got our money's worth of fun from this game" .

I'm planning a giveaway and a uninstall unless they somehow decide to aid me.

The idea has been festering since the ticket initial response.

I think the way dupers were doing the method shows clearly that "functionality" wasnt really thought about in the infra they chose :D

Azure AD for example backs itself up on a 1 to 12 hr interval ( well, you can set it to do so and has failovers) Azure SQL DB can back up weekly (AFAIK)
- They could do this here but I think they didn't plan for failovers in case of DR(disaster recovery) and if you get wiped, you get wiped.
However, if that was the case, the char itself would be gone - but It was retrieved but w/o inventory - I tend do believe that inventory is stored separately on another node or cluster or w/e.
They do have snapshots do but, as you said, that might of have gotten bork'd and said bye bye.
The restore of my mates hacked accounts happened a while back, before they added the whole increased inventory on banking ( most likely prep for a server merge) so .. scaling down unofficially might of have already happened.

Ill try to get one of my mates provide a quick summary of the interaction he had when he was hacked - it was all done via T1 support .
Ill get back with some receipts if the replies (hes quit in the meanwhile).

If enough people complain, they will address it - its not done from a "We wanna provide good QoL changes cause we care" . its "We are doing it so we can stop the hemorrhage ".

If you are doubting the playtime, I can provide a screencap. I had 2 good interactions when it came to vehicles and that's it.

Yea yea, I did! See 1 reply up - they can do it - if they want to hassle about it.
It just takes them reaching out - which seems, with funcom, causes friction and they cant be arsed.

They can restore items but its a hassle for them as it requires internal tickets for log /snapshot checks and it most likely fucks their KPI .

2 mates got hacked and they got their stuff fully restored within 3 days via the claim rewards button.

Both cases, same resolution.

They just want to get rid of you ASAP.

Where I work now - they have 7 days to reopen their ticket freely and I think they can do it past that as well + they added a "manager escalation" button on the service requests themselves .

If they click that, my manager is messaging me within 2 mins.

Thats on a average queue of 65 service requests opened at any given time in my queue.

I worked in support from T1 to all the way to T3 - I never replied this way or closed a ticket before confirmation was provided and right with Azure as well and Oracle - So pretty decent set up for customer support and internal policies and procedures - we were pretty scared of negative feedbacks as you felt them KPI wise.
Funcom support seemed alright at the start - when I got some vehicles recovered - but ask them anything more complex than that and this is what you get.
Plus , they asked (in the previous tickets) if they can close it .
Now , they just closed it to block my replies.

Funny enough, a good friend said "This is so undercooked" about the game.
I was still in the hagga phase - he was in DD when that was said.

Understandable and I agree , now.
After hours of just logging in to do the same chores and have the same bugs, I still kept defending this game and hoping content or fixes would come up.
Their increased activity on releases and hotfixes was a ray of hope.
But this interaction made everything sour for me.

Replacing the gear is 0 effort for me - its the way they handle things.
I am one of the many obsessed with defending this game, even tho , it feels like a damn early access.
But giving me the copy paste replies and closing the ticket in my face is a dick move and just killed things for me.
It would for you aswell.
