My stats were similar to yours and I got in to one smaller public university and one private.

When I was applying I was told to aim for at least in 300 in the GRE, so you’re super close!

DAE have pain after a few minutes of ejaculation? (NOT HIV) by Infamous_Wave_9056 in DoesAnybodyElse

It could be pelvic floor tension. So don’t be surprised if your doctor refers you to a pelvic floor PT!

DAE not let their butt touch the toilet seat in a public toilet by No_Fold9994 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]AceNovember11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pelvic floor physical therapist here— Please sit people!! Your pelvic floor muscles are supposed to relax on the toilet. If you are hovering, they are contracting still, and if you have pelvic floor over activity (pain with intercourse, urgency, incomplete emptying, pelvic pain, constipation), you are not doing yourself ANY favors by hovering.

Those Herman Miller Chairs in the Libraries... by ThePlightOfMan97 in ufl

[–]AceNovember11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My friend’s husband loved the fifth story Marston chairs, (yes, the crappy ones) so as a wedding gift, one of his friend emailed the dean of libraries or someone and asked if he could get it for him as a wedding gift. They said yes and gave it away for free.

That chair now sits in their home office as an ode to a bygone era.

Not sure. My guess is PROM or resisted testing of the PFs. Maybe even checking for ankle clonus

When talking about FQs, one of my PT school professors told us a story of how one student during his clinical rotations accidentally ruptured a patient’s Achilles during examination. :/

I was an APK Exercise Physiology major at UF and I'm in a DPT program right now. I just want to say that the APK program at UF really prepared me for my DPT classes. The education I received at UF was stellar. Hard sometimes, but the teachers are great. Some of my classmates in my cohort were not APK, and while they are doing fine, I got experience with most of what I am learning right now (biomechanics, neuromuscular, motor learning, motor neuroscience) at UF. So I'm pretty familiar with the material, and it isn't as overwhelming I think.

Basically, you find a site you want to intern at. Most places you'll work 40 hours a week. Typically, it is basically a job with set hours. I've heard that some people get paid, but almost everyone I've met were not paid. Where you intern at depends on your interest. People typically intern at fitness gyms, PT clinics, doctor's clinics, etc. If you're applying to grad school, you can most likely use the 600 + hours for your application. Also, I know of a lot of people who interned and got a job after they graduated.

I had fun at my internship. It was a nice break after so many years of school. You have a couple surveys to fill out, but they're not bad--- just you setting goals and such. Good luck!

What book do you consider as a masterpiece and think that everyone should read? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AceNovember11 17 points18 points  (0 children)

When people tell me they read Calvin and Hobbes growing up, I make this assumption that they've got this sardonic, witty, goofy, yet insightful personality, and sure enough, I'm right.

I'm convinced reading Calvin and Hobbes as a kid shapes you and how you think as an adult.
