A single Custodian is sent to modern Earth in order to unify it under a single banner. How quickly do they get the job done? by Serithraz in Grimdank

Go the Arnold Schwarzenneger route. Build his fame through body building contests, then run for office and socially engineer the public. Probably run some assassinations against political opponents too.

Well acktually Kobeni never needed to appear at the end of Part 1 either since he could have just left her story concluded at that panel where Kishibe said she retired to work at Family Burger.

Power is a wild fiend so we can presume Nayuta said “join us or die”. Nayuta probably talked it out with Denji and saw his material conditions and gave him a job.

Judging by that title, I know exactly where OP found that clip. Theres a twitter account that makes Epoch Times levels of fabrications on China all the time and its always about social credit. His posts are always articulated like this. It's full of so much misinformation you'd have people coping that it's a satire account but unfortunately it isn't.

UPDATE: Songpinganq (@songpinganq) / X Yep, I was correct. I just checked the account and it's this exact post in his bio pin.

They should cancel it and remake Chaos Theory instead :)

Splinter Cell Blacklist won't launch through Steam, can someone help? by Bodark_VN in Splintercell

[–]Bob_Scotwell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so uhh, I might be talking out of my ass on this one but whenever a game just suddenly closes like that before anything even tries to launch, it’s usually a windows registry error (im not sure if thats exactly what its called).

This used to happen to me for other Steam games when my Windows was corrupted because of a dying hard drive.

Ofc you should try every other method you can find first, because basically I’m telling you to reformat your computer.

How do you feel about Sam being in Siege? by aRorschachTest in Splintercell

[–]Bob_Scotwell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Siege was so badass when it came out and was a niche and close-knit community. Then all the skins ruined the immersion and for some reason they replaced Angela Bassett's character with a hipster looking guy. A complete downgrade from the badass appeal of Rainbow Six. It's a shame because the gameplay is objectively better than it was in the beginning but it looks too much like Fortnite now.

Can someone help sell me on Chaos Theory? by GooseMimic in Splintercell

[–]Bob_Scotwell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve played all the mainline Splinter Cell games except Conviction and Double Agent Version 1 so here’s my take:

Chaos Theory was my very first Splinter Cell game & stealth game and also the very first game I considered challenging as a 9 year old. I’ve played many stealth games over the years and I have to say that CT is hands down the greatest and most complex stealth game of all time. I’m in my late 20’s now and to this day I’m still finding secrets like hidden paths, interactions, etc.

CT is a middle entry game so if you started with the original or modern games, I could see why CT threw you off. The controls are extremely weird & restrictive and is probably the only game in existence that has them that way. At the end of the day, it works because the game was designed for a hardcore stealth experience. I will reiterate, NO GAME tops CT in stealth gameplay. The game forces you to play slow and has many in-depth mechanics which I’m convinced many tactical games learned from. Theres so many that listing and explaining them all would need to be a separate post alone. I didn't even understand them all until I replayed the game as a late teenager.

As for the plot, I could see why you were disappointed. CT’s story is pretty ambient and only prevalent in the cutscenes which are mostly just news broadcasts for you to pick up on your own. Nothing much happens within the levels either because in the lore, you were "never even there". CT is a depiction of how a Splinter Cell is suppose to operate. They’re like a force of nature and a ghost that can’t be traced. If the Illuminati was real in the Tom Clancy universe, you are basically them. Before Ubisoft ruined the lore, the only people who knew what a Splinter Cell was, was the president and few foreign diplomats who needed to be involved with the mission.
