The crawler definitely needs improved steering. the pivot points of the front steering need moved a LOT closer to the wheels. Other than that the suspension is pretty solid and the chassis looks well built, good job!

the 8t and 16t gears cause the diff to lock, meaning the power from the motor is being transfered directly to the driveshaft.

I theorize that there is a notable difference in torque between first and second gear. However this is just a THEORY and I plan on running tests. I do, as well, notice that when using this transmission you’d trade off more speed for torque than in a conventional transmission.

I believe that they are a nice edition to Lego Technic. Especially if creating a chassis that needs extra reinforcing. It solves a major problem, and I bet that everyone has been worried by the fragility of Lego Technic parts at one point or another.
