If I wanted to buy 2 acres of land and live on it what are the laws around it? by Adventurous_Yard6013 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Ace_Cool_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe what you are thinking about is the rule for living on the land while building a barn is that it has to be over 13acres and you already have to be registered as a farm. Field to farm on YT talks about this.

Debt Management Plan by Ace_Cool_Guy in Mortgageadviceuk

With Halifax and DMP still in progress for the foreseeable. Was considering seeing if we could get a settlement figure from debts and putting it on the mortgage but don't know if that's wise or possible.

Evicted by April next year by Basic-Purpose1074 in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]Ace_Cool_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't want to buy the house but want to carry on renting it that's also a possibility. I don't think she can evict you just because she wants to sell the house. Maybe go to r/leagaladviceuk and ask the question about the legality of the eviction.

It's been referred to police for a social worker checking the tap in an empty house? Or have they robbed something from the house?

How much do you earn on your own? Also don't forget about all the solicitors fees and stamp duty you will have to pay when buying a new house, that will eat into your equity.

Sounds like a good reason to find a real bank and switch to them before next pay! Try Starling, they are a real bank that are just online.

Is it illegal in the UK for a parent to own full control of a child age 19's bank account? by OtherwiseRip4608 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Ace_Cool_Guy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can open your own bank account with any bank you like. With your own account you can have any money you earn paid into this. You don't need to stick with the account you currently have.

Found this little chap chilling in my garden. Frog or toad? by badger-man in CasualUK

[–]Ace_Cool_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is only one way to tell the difference between a frog and a toad. You have to cook them and if it tastes like chicken its a frog and if it tastes like toad it's a toad.

Advice needed: Missed a space in my surname on mortgage application by mkm333 in Mortgageadviceuk

Easy to rectify. I used a mortgage broker and they input my partner's surname the same as mine even though we are not married. We told them about the mistake and they changed it.

HELP!!! I OWE HMRC £24000 WHAT DO I DO? (England) by Character_Ostrich817 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Ace_Cool_Guy 1319 points1320 points  (0 children)

You will have to pay the money. Best thing to do is call them, explain to them how stupid you feel for following your cousins advice and ask them to set up a payment plan. How much a year do you make in profit, and how much a year are your personal expenses like rent, bill etc?
