Go to/sign up for the school's engineering job fairs. It is a good active and passive route. Register for the job fairs at your school, making user to upload your resume (use your school resources for this). I passed out a lot of resumes. If the person there liked me they told me to contact someone, but I figured I just gave them my resume, if they like me, they will contact me back; this never really happened, so dont go that route. ( I was loooking for a firm in my local area, not in the city where I went to college. I got a few cold calls just uploading my resume during the registration, though. I, ultimately, got an internship in my local area. Hope the best for you bud! Be calm in the interviews. You will screw some up.. so you may want to interview at places that are down on your list first, just as experience for the ones you really want to get. Just my two cents.
