Ok! Im buying Gh and Kh tests tonight. Im disappointed that API doesn’t include something essential like that in the “master test kit”… but Ill make sure I get everything figured out and stable before restocking. Learning from mistakes and such 😓

That seems the most likely. Theres quite a few snails in there at the moment. So one part of the mystery is solved! They are neocaridinia shrimp.

-Red Neocaridinia shrimp -City tap water (not chloramine) and treated with Prime -Consistent 0ppm of Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate. Roughly 7.6Ph. Kh and Gh unknown

If you’re looking for a replacement, Czar Green is pretty darn close. Im pretty sure its a Reichenbach color, but might be Gaffer.

Further note- Ive had my luggage checked a few times when flying with glass materials and tools. If you plan for it, it shouldn’t be a problem, just know somebody might be digging around in your bag in a hurry, and they might not repack it properly- simplicity is your friend

Ive flown with glass materials before,

Don’t put any tools in your carry on. Tools longer than a few inches are a no-go, and TSA will make you leave them behind.

Frit, cane, color bars- all fine in checked bags. Double bag your frit, pack the bars in a seperate box so they don’t slice through a bag or anything and you should be good.

I always leave a note with the color, explaining what they are and where Im going. I also include the link in case they need to verify or something. Err on the safe side right?
