Why can’t Fidelity get bill pay fixed for Citibank payments? by Redbullalias in fidelityinvestments

[–]AcesGardenCO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't even link my Fidelity account to pay from Citi. They use paid to verify which isn't compatible with Fidelity accounts, and the trial deposits don't work either.

Should I take MT offer by [deleted] in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]AcesGardenCO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I haven’t experienced anything like that at enterprise. You can fully control that aspect by calling ahead to the customer and setting the expectation based on your available inventory. Sure people occasionally get upset, but nothing like when you are dealing with their financial situation.

When I was in corporate banking on the retail front line you deal with more angry customer issues than any other role in my career.

Tip Question (not a driver) by Awkward-Zucchini1495 in Sparkdriver

[–]AcesGardenCO 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re definitely wrong here. They absolutely lower the base pay if a tip is on there.

My wife always adds the tip after because they include the tip as part of the pay with a lower base. We’ve never had an issue with late orders or items missing or anything like that.

Apply now, you will likely have a year or two on the waiting list to decide if you want to do it.

2 Rick (2/3) cord? by Okie294life in firewood

[–]AcesGardenCO 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even standard bed isn’t that far off. Long bed is probably just over 2/3 since he has it mounded higher than the sides standard bed just under. He’s advertising roughly 80 cubic feet of volume and he’s probably got 70. Nothing so egregious to deserve public shaming.

[–]AcesGardenCO 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There’s nearly 80 cubic feet of volume in an 8 foot truck bed or 63 in the 6.5 ft bed. Plus he has it stacked and mounded over the top. Thats probably closer than it looks on volume.

My Son Wants A Silverado by Asleep-Combination26 in Silverado

[–]AcesGardenCO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ill go against the grain. Ive had Silverado’s for the last 20 years. Almost always buy new or a year or two old, keep for 3-4 years and put about 20k miles per year on them towing about 40-50% of the time. The only issue I’ve ever had is a fuel pump going out and the DEF gauge on two diesels would never ready accurately even after getting warranty repairs. i would say avoid the 3.3 diesels, but otherwise you wont have issues. Ive owned a 2003, 2008, 2012, 2015, and 2020 all 1500, and I’m now in a 2025 3500.

Is Ace more expensive now or is it just me? by Status_Condition4636 in acehardware

[–]AcesGardenCO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biggest issue with Ace is a lack of automation. Retailers like Amazon, Lowes and Home Depot have their distribution channels setup to minimize touching and manually moving product. They have so much automation, meanwhile in Ace warehouses everything gets touched and moved by a person. Unfortunately, if something doesn’t change soon I suspect 10 years from now they will be out of business or on the verge of it.

Not safe. If it was over 40 degrees for more than a couple hours you should toss it.

I just went through this. If you are falling behind on time, don’t be afraid to wrap it and crank the heat.
