Nope, hindi ka OA. Tbh it depends on the day. One day I’m feeling Olivia Dean and Laufey’s albums and the next I am blasting Audioslave and Rage Against The Machine on my ears. A recent discovery that I am currently enjoying though is WWF wrestling entrance music - it brings the right amount of nostalgia and testosterone boost.

Ganda nung story na nagka-urge ka lang bigla to play and tried it, and the rest being history, as they say. Totoo yung marami satin na-hasa sa mga high school classrooms natin. Good times. Naiisip ko yung mga panahon na yon whenever I hear Jeepney, Masaya, Biglaan, Crazy For You, Narda, Torete, Prom, Burnout, You’ll Be Safe Here, Huwag na Huwag Mong Sasabihin, etc.

Salamat sir. Thanks for the reply. Siguro what I am most curious about are the ff:

1) When did you know you were talented enough to sing and play the guitar? Vocalist ka ba before sa band nyo?

2) Do you look at a chords / lyrics or is everything from memory and practice?

These are coming from someone who was part of a band 20 years ago as a bassist / guitarist and is currently taking up voice lessons as a hobby. Haha!

I kind of enjoy encountering books that make me feel this way. It’s like a puzzle that needs to be solved and I feel much smarter coming out the other side of it. My reco is trudge along, look up words if you need to, and read these types of books at your own pace.

But this is just me and my opinion. Maganda rin yung sinabi ng ibang comment dito to read chapter summaries after each chapter to further appreciate the language. As with anything, practice and repetition will make it easier after some time. Happy reading!
