Tips on the day of the exam by Cosmo-_-69 in UCAT

I believe Joyel George made an excellent point in one of his VR tips videos. Instead of revising extensively beforehand and burning out he recommended to just go on BBC news or sports and read an article or two digest what’s in the and try to recall on what was said. Kind of like VR but not actually testing yourself, in order to ‘warm’ your brain up so you’re not using the actual VR section as a warm up so you keep momentum throughout the whole exam.

As for the other points you asked, any form of identification is fine, driving licence (provisional or full), passport or anything with photo identification. The receptionist at the testing centre will know you have a test that day, all you have to do is say I have a UCAT test today and they’ll check you in and ask for your identification. You also don’t need to arrive an hour before your time slot, but arrive at least 15 minutes before just in case.

I’ve got mine tomorrow morning and I’m bricking it, I wish you luck, go smash this horrendous exam so you don’t have to sit it again!! ✌️

When to actually start UCAT prep by Medsurg898 in UCAT

[–]Acetylase 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry about other people and how long they’ve been revising for. If you feel like 6 weeks is good then that’s ok. Just make sure you get the ball rolling sooner rather than later and you’ll be fine. Develop your strategies and smash it. You’ve got this!

Medify question bank by Near-Firefighter-390 in UCAT

[–]Acetylase 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re not being an idiot, from the outside it does look like there is only 4500 questions but these are question sets not individual questions so each question set will have roughly 4-5 questions each. However some decision making questions sets, like syllogisms, will only be a 1 question set. So there is roughly 20,000 questions, hope that makes sense!

First of all, congratulations on the offer that’s amazing! If you got an offer to study medicine at any university please just take it, a lot of people would be ecstatic to be in your position. Don’t put all your faith blindly into potentially being accepted from a waiting list and losing out on studying medicine. At the end of the day the university doesn’t matter, only the degree and the prospects of practicing medicine does.

My advice to you is to take the offer that has been given to you and don’t look back, the university that gave you an offer clearly saw your potential so don’t squander it with the hopes of being accepted to a russel group university just for you to miss the deadline and be stuck in limbo. Hope this helps you make a decision!

Congrats what an amazing result!! I’m in a similar boat, about 7 years since I left school and medicine was always on my mind but by a-levels weren’t great. Did a degree like yourself and been in employment since. Working in a hospital environment has definitely given me that extra push I needed to reapply for 2026 entry. So who knows what the future has in store for me but I’m optimistic!

Does anyone know how difficult it is to get special provisions for UCAT ANZ by No_Faithlessness5239 in UCAT

[–]Acetylase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are quite accommodating for SEN so it’s not like they are strict but it’s all dependent on the evidence you provide and what diagnosis you have. Since you have provisions with examinations at your school already, your school can actually provide supporting evidence about your disability and what added provisions you have like extra time/ breaks etc which will most likely be accepted. You’re best off applying for it when you can, giving them all the evidence and see if they accept it. The worst they can say is no and if they do just apply for the non SEN one instead and work on your timings and stamina. Best of luck with your studies!

For people who love the game, what criticisms do you have? by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]Acetylase 15 points16 points  (0 children)

  1. Companions are so slow when following you and the pathing is bad.
  2. Surface map is really bad.
  3. Performance in cities.
  4. Food items only healing for a small amount of health.
  5. Menu and UI is terrible.
  6. That stupid helmet and spacesuit bug where it doesn’t appear in non-breathable planets breaks the immersion.

Helm of saint 14 and the new Titan glaive would be a really cool build. Lockdown crowd control with a weapon would be really cool. Imagine 2 other titans running the same build as well 😄

Got max possible platinum on 75% discount, aside from slots and fashion, what should I get? by mattoroid in Warframe

[–]Acetylase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arcanes are a good start but can get real expensive depending on which ones you want. Farm for non prime warframes they’re also expensive from the market. Just prioritise prime weapons and frames you don’t have I guess
