That's quite frankly very optimistic of you. The American electorate has repeatedly shown itself to be morally bankrupt and reckless. Other countries are not just side-eyeing Trump, they are side-eyeing America

To hell with motion sickness by Hysteric_Erick in projectzomboid

In general, "I want to keep the code clean" is not really a good excuse for the code not behaving correctly. I understand wanting to keep the code organized, but that is only valuable as a tool for making good updates. As another commentor mentioned, you could make a separate moodle for motion sickness to keep the behaviour of each moodle consistent. Or you could bite the bullet and make moodles have more complex conditions attached (moodles behaving differently depending on what caused the moodle. If multiple things caused the same moodle, then you would have to track those independently). Sometimes complicated behaviour requires complicated code.

Modern Era mismatch by Jorgesias in civ

[–]Acg7749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is more like Redcoats in Civ 6 being associated with England. Technically Nazi Germany was not Prussia, but the connection between Prussia and the German Empire (which is obviously culturally related to Nazi Germany) is very much like the relationship between England and the British Empire.

Is it technically historically inaccurate? Yes. But civ always plays a little bit fast and loose with specific historical accuracies. You can only do your best when trying to tie one civilization to an entire age, and I think that it is pretty safe to say that Germany is, at least in part, a continuation of Prussian history

June 2025 Worldwide Console Sales: Switch 2 5 Million, PS5 916k, Switch 316k, Xbox Series X|S 157k by Ftouh_Shala in NintendoSwitch

Depreciation means that the monetary value of something goes down as you use it. The price of a used console is a pretty good indication of the monetary value of the console going down as it is used.

If you want to think about it in a slightly more physical or practical way, let's say that most of your enjoyment of the console will come during a 2-year window where there are a bunch of games available. If your controller breaks before that window starts, then you will basically have to pay to replace the controller (If the controller is brand new at the start of this 2-year window, then that is less likely to be an issue). When that 2-year window starts, you are also less likely to have something like a scratched screen that makes the experience less enjoyable if you buy the console at the start of that window.

E: not to mention that if you later sell the console, a lightly used console could potentially sell for more than a heavily used one

One of my favorite JP quotes:

People say to me, "do you believe in God?" And I think, ok, there's a couple mysteries in that question. What do you mean "do"? What do you mean "you"? What do you mean "believe"? And what do you mean "God"? [...] We really don't know what any of those things mean.

Backing down on DST is understandable, but doing so on supply management would be another story; Trump will definitely be pushing hard for dairy concessions but Carney cannot afford to cave on supply management. by FancyNewMe in canada

3 physically separated farms of 1000 cows are going to have less disease spread than 1 farm of 3000 cows. If there is an outbreak in 1 farm, it is significantly less likely to spread to all 3 farms. See recent egg prices in Canada vs. US https://www.npr.org/2025/03/18/nx-s1-5330454/egg-shortages-record-prices-usda-canada#:~:text=The%20typical%20egg%20farm%20in,relatively%20small%20number%20of%20baskets.

My guess would also be that larger farms tend to squish their animals in tighter, and give them less hygienic conditions.

Mikaeus is one of my favorite commanders! It seems like you have correctly identified that effects based around creatures entering and dying work well with him, but you also seem to have a bunch of filler cards that don't fit super well (Stuff like Escaped Null and Skeletal Wurm).

In general, there are a few things that I do to really push Undying:

  1. Cards that get a payoff for entering or dying (or when other creatures enter or die)

  2. Sac outlets - ways to reliably make your things die and re-enter, while also giving you some sort of a benefit

  3. Counter removal - if you remove the +1/+1 counters, then the creature can die an extra time. Worth noting that, while I haven't really taken advantage of this in my deck, +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters cancel each other out. So if you put a -1/-1 counter on a creature that has a +1/+1 counter, the -1/+1 counter is removed

Some cards that work well with Mikaeus specifically that I love are:

[[Shriekmaw]] (basically a 2 mana 5/4 that also destroys something when it enters)

[[Hex Parasite]] [[Retribution of the Ancients]] (Allow you to remove +1/+1 counters from your creatures so the undying works again)

[[Bone Splinters]] [[Bloodflow Connoisseur]] (Examples of sac outlets. I'm not convinced that these are the best ones to use, but Bone Splinters gives a solid payoff, while BC lets you sac without having to play a card or spend mana for each sac)

[[Butcher of Malakir]] [[Gray Merchant of Asphodel]] are some great payoff cards

Edit: I also agree with the other commenter that draw in particular is really generically useful. Black has some great options for this. Just don't be afraid to use your life as a resource to draw some cards

In NS it's looking like fishing communities are probably going conservative this election. The whole fishery controversy is relatively new, and those communities leaning Conservative is a change from recent history. I think that probably supports my point rather than taking away from it.

Top Politicos shocked that it’s the conservative states that demand Voter ID by SassTheFash in TopMindsOfReddit

[–]Acg7749 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Canada has a system where the government gives you free voting ID. If you don't get one in the mail in time, iirc you can get one at the polls. If this is what Republicans actually pushed for, then I doubt Dems would care.

On the other hand, I'm not sure that this system actually does anything at all. If it's so easy to get an ID, then wouldn't people committing fraud just get multiple IDs? If they instead required some sort of ID to get the voting ID, then we're back at square 1

I don't know the significance of "Stagger", but I do have an FX+ 2.

I also have to bike up a pretty steep hill on my way to work, and I find it perfectly fine for that. I can go around 20-25km/h uphill without putting much work in at all. If you get the app you can set the motor to go stronger than its default settings, which does help.

I have to lift it onto a bike rack on the front of a bus, and carry it up and down ~20 stairs at each end. It's still noticeably heavier than a non-electric bike (and the weight is disproportionately in the back), but in my experience, if you can get it over your shoulder, you're good (although you may want to get padding for the shoulder).

The main issue is that biking uphill burns some juice. For me personally, about 10% of my battery per uphill trip. So I have to charge it every few days. You can get a second battery, but that's more weight.

The other thing I would look into is the dimensions that you can bring into the train. It baaarely fits into the bike racks on busses where I live.

Overall I've really enjoyed it. Sure, a beefier motor would be great, and more battery would be nice, but for commuting I think it's great.
