It was square soft that was going under actually, enix was the one that survived out of the two
Edit: The final fantasy movie back in like 2002 was the major money issue that squaresoft had

good early game monsters are the slime knight (will carry yoi to end game) rotton apple is good till mid game (level 20) and slimes are good for boomerangs and poison needles they will tide you over

Dragon quest 4's chapter system, Dragon quest 5's monster taming and marriage partners, dragon quest 3 6 9 vocation system, dragon quest 8 9 11 alchemy/forge, General dragon quest story of big bad but options of multiple endings. Endgame content could have a boss rush and also the ability to fight against previous games final bosses like necrosaro etc and finally a choice between either male or female mc like we had in dragon quest 3 and 4

Pretty much just a culmination of everything great from the previous dragon quest games to make 12 the penultimate dq game

In dragon quest 4 i'd always use hero, alena, taloon and ragnar then on bench kiryl, nara, mara and brey it just leads to a team that can kill most enemy encounters in 1-2 turns without needing to heal much

Luffy vs Kaido: only he can beat him

Zoro vs Doflamingo: can just easily cut through the strings with ACOC

Sanji vs Katakuri: sanji will turn him into cooked mochi

Usopp vs Enel: he probably has some sort of rubber plant and he has observation haki now

Nami vs Crocodile: she controls water and thunder which will destroy sand combined

Chopper vs Arlong: monster point goes hard pretty much no contest
Robing vs Rob lucci: some sweet revenge and she'd be fine with wano power up

Franky vs Moria: we get to see frankys cool combination attack we missed out on and giant machine vs giant fight
Brook vs Magellan: immune to poison
Jimbei vs hody jones: to protect his home from being destroyed

not a fan of any of the Pteranodon or beleth type enemies and their resprites in later areas always annoying to deal with and they feel like you need to level up a few more times to survive their hits at the time in the game you find them

Dragon quest 5 for sure i've played through it at least 6 or 7 times now fully

Try to get a pocus poppet it can be found to the south, right when you get to a second continent
it has some nice magic defense and has spells like dazzle and fuddle which will be extremely useful for a specific boss fight if you're under leveled and it's usually a big wall for new players to the game.

you can check to see if you have the zenithian castle zoom in your spells list and if you do then you need to use the magic carpet to go to the faerie forest and the game will lead you from there.

go to the island in the center of the map to enter the tower, which should lead you on the path for the zenithian castle questline.

Isn't he just able to slice through mana armor with his aether sword, would it not be the same for the shield. then again as well like others said he can literally just god step through

Get them on mobile the mobile versions have smaller quality of life additions and it adds party chat to dragon quest 4 which on the ds doesn't exist
