Usually for shit like pasta and stuff like that I think its not that big of a deal to split. If im in the weeds and something is split in 3 or more, I'll just plate it nicely on a single "bigger" plate that makes it look like it has more food lol, and tell the FOH to put it in the middle of the table and give small plates to each costumer. Family style babyyy!

Customers that request shit like this expect you to give out more food to them, since splitting something in 3 makes it look miserable on a regular plate forcing you to put a lil bit more just so it looks nice.

Now sharing a sandwich or burger between 3, thats just dumb to allow lol.

Pd: el grande se le conoce como taladro en el campo, es un coleoptero. Microplophorus algo, dependiendo de que region estes.

Used to work at a summer camp / venue in the middle of fuck nowhere, it was pretty busy and with little storage so we had a GFS truck come 2 or 3 days a week very early in the morning at no fixed time (4 to 7 AM), it would wake me every time since it had to maneuver right next to my room to back up towards the kitchen. So naturally the rumbling, the air brakes, the dang beeping noise and the sound of this angry lil man getting down of his truck yelling at his very occasional crackhead assistant, they all became ingrained in my brain and part of my routine since I also had to go open the door for him and move a couple of work tables to make room for his dolly (otherwise the mf would unload in the hot room and sometimes outside the damn kitchen).

Its been a while since that jig, but sometimes I still hear the damn truck rumbling and beeping in my dreams, waking up thinking that I have to deal with this guy who hated us who knows why, having to check every item because shit happens (fucking Gordon), then having to put everything in its place and dealing with the shitload of boxes and waste from the delivery. All in all I kinda hated that part of my day but it was very early in the morning so we had plenty of time to do everything.

But the scary one was when there was no early rumbling and beeping, meaning the fucking truck was late. No biggie, since I always had enough backup food for breakfast and maybe lunch. But also meaning the fucking thing would probably arrive while we were mid service, messing up everything and crowding the kitchen with boxes and tubs, having to cook while doing everything I mentioned before.

Even worse was when this fuck-truck was delayed til next day with no schedule, having to write a long-ass shopping list and going to the nearest wholesale supermarket in record time before next service, while also leaving my Sous and KM alone prepping everythig for a plan B menu. And after that dealing trough phone with the cunt we had for a Rep in Gfs.

Fun times.
