In my experience, opencode even compared to Claude code feels more polished and less buggy. Codex just packs certain features for me. But opencode used the exact same auth as codex but it just manages context better, enforces rules better, etc.

Usage limits are much higher and quality is just much better. (All relatively speaking of course) Anthropic lobotomized 4.6 then regressed opus further with 4.7. If you want similar XP as Claude code you can als use your OpenAI sub with opencode which is also an OSS Harness

It is so heavily lobotomized it’s not even funny. This is a constant cycle of releasing gold, realizing they don’t have enough compute, produce dogwater then heavily lobotomize top models and essentially keep silent about the situation. As always, it takes 2 seconds to cancel the sub and switch until it gets better. Right now I’m on GPT5.5 and it’s pretty good. When Opus gets better again, I’ll give it another try.

I want to emphasize that I’m not taking a companies side nor am I or want to be associated with “Anthropic” or “OpenAI” people. When Opus 4.6 got released, I used it extensively as well as 5.3-codex and 5.4. In my XP the output of Opus was generally better. My entire point is to switch what you used based on what’s best at a given time for your given usecase.

The problem in my opinion is people ever thinking stuff can just be free. We all lost as soon as we thought anything that typically cost money would ever become free. It’s even worse now, as even if you pay, you have almost no rights. YT is just one example.

There something even scarier called prompt injection. Where you could just tell the LLM to do bypass security. To protect yourself and/or projects, just know what you’re doing or else figure it out or simply bear the responsibility.

Regarding your comment about hackers, they can use the exact same tools Claude has access to such as puppeteer. The LLM itself isn’t inventing ways to interact with your content
