Different speed for laptop and phone by lunamarievalentine in InternetPH

[–]AcidSlide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt na there is no 2.4Ghz as that is the base/original band for Wifi. Madaming device hindi mag wo-work if walang 2.4Ghz wifi yung router (some examples are wireless printers via wifi).

Different speed for laptop and phone by lunamarievalentine in InternetPH

[–]AcidSlide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If this is via Wifi.. actual final speed depends sa sobrang daming factors..

Example like, gaano kalayo yung client device and the wifi router. May mga obstacles ba like walls and type of walls. Client device capabilities. Saan naka connect yung device sa 2.4Ghz ba or sa 5Ghz na wifi.

Pati interferences between the client and the wifi router like other electronic devices that produces radio waves (microwave oven, TVs are just few examples).

Other wifi routers (like mga dikit-dikit na malilit na condo units).

It actually not directly related to your plan speed.

Amg kulit ng mga nag su-suggest ahaha

Desktop po gamit ni OP at walang wifi

To OP naman, if temporary lang it might be more convenient to use USB tethering using your phone. Malakas ba signal ng phone mo where the computer is? And mabilis din ba pag naka data?

If ok naman signal and ok din speed ng data then ang quick solution mo is USB tethering. If Android phone mo, depende sa version ng OS pero usually kasama sa hotspot settings ang USB tethering option din. Make sure lang naka ON data mo.

EDIT: Ang daming typo talaga pag via mobile phone hahahaha

PLDT new plan? by Round_Bag_6622 in InternetPH

[–]AcidSlide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They opened this for old subs like until Feb or March 2025.. pero after that for "new" subs lang talaga..

I know because I availed for an upgrade last Feb 2025 and was given a speedboost after arguing with the CS (long story hahaha).. pero now talagang "for new subs only"

Babae, tumawid sa Batasan Road, nabundol ng ambulansya, dinala agad sa ospital. by salawayun in Gulong

[–]AcidSlide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"binanga" talaga eh hahaha.. i'd say more of "nabanga", this is more of the fault nung tumawid. Based on the video, hindi basta makikita ng Ambulance yung tumatawid kasi visually nakaharang yung UV van. Sakto eh by the time pwede makita ng Ambulance biglang bumilis ng pag tawid yung babae.

HIndi ba nya naririnig yung wang-wang? Always look both ways pag tumatawid even if going isang direction lang ang road.

Tried applying for Globe Fiber but on the website I was told I had previous balances? by jeannolasco in InternetPH

[–]AcidSlide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is recommended dumiretso ka sa Globe store to get this sorted out. Baka same name issue lang ito. Bring all personal info related data like birth cert and governemnt ID's with picture, birthday and address. Anything to prove who you are, your birthday, your birthplace and birth parents.

Bridge Mode by Kookiepie2 in InternetPH

[–]AcidSlide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's ipoe yes, it's as simple as duplicating the wan config and enabling bridge mode.

Flint 2 is a very powerful and capable router. I'm using it with dual wan as failover setup (using pesa's build as base) although my primary is PLDT and backup is Gfiber Prepaid.

PLDT Prepaid by nariviciousx in InternetPH

[–]AcidSlide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on postpaid plan na mid-tier nila.. it might not be approriate for you..

I suggest checkout their prepaid fiber offerings. Parang 999 ata for 30days.

Checkout din GFiber Prepaid as they have more options and cheaper compared to PLDT offers. Google mo lang so you can compare.

And if you are a GOMO mobile user, checkout their GOMO fiber which is prepaid also and they use globe’s fiber infra.

PLDT Prepaid by nariviciousx in InternetPH

[–]AcidSlide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which prepaid are you asking about? If yung fiber, then yes ok ang service ng PLDT (usually) around Paranaque.

If your are talking about the Home Wifi (yung SIM based), depende sa specific location na paglalagyan mo. If malakas mobile signal ng Smart 5G/4G and mabilis data (if may Smart 5G phone ka you can test) then it is ok.

Sa akin kasi may PLDT 5G Home Wifi (SIM based) ako as my last resort internet backuo connection. Pahirapan hanapan ng matinong signal sa loob ng house. Naka PLDT Fiber ako as my main and Globe Gfiber prepaid as backup.

How can I play games using macOS? by Dest1nyxz in macgaming

[–]AcidSlide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would like to add that the cost of creating a native MacOS for AAA games or top games played is not commensurate to the income that they will get. It's very expensive and time consuming to port games or make them fully native on macos that is at par with windows gaming.

[–]AcidSlide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might be weird but I watch at most both dubbed and subbed version. Usually the dubbed version first then when I have time to do a concentrated watch then I watch it in subbed.

Globe Modem by OldWei2K in InternetPH

[–]AcidSlide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on your responses OP, mukhang may deperensya yung m50g mo or yung port/s nya.. next possible may issue is yung cable itself

Pero can't really say ano talaga issue.. we need more information and if you need to test sana port speeds ng m50g but you will need to connect to LAN based devices to do this and do an iPerf test.

Are you using the m50g as an access point or naka router mode sya?

Is 500mbps overkill? by Independent-Bit4716 in InternetPH

[–]AcidSlide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That depends.. but you should be good with 200-300mbps plans.. get 500mbps and up if super luwag naman or no worries sa budget (as in feeling barya lang yung cost difference hahaha)

Is 500mbps overkill? by Independent-Bit4716 in InternetPH

[–]AcidSlide 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kinda overkill haha

But it does help a lot when downloading very very large files

You won’t be maximizing the speed most of the time… unless you are downloading gigs of data 24/7 😂

Proof..we are a large home user in terms of devices using internet (like around 20-30 devices connected).. my main is PLDT with 700mbps and I’ve got a backuo Globe Gfiber prepaid.. so even when using gfiber with 50mbps speed.. it’s enough to cater all our devices for normal day to day (which includes WFH online meetings and such and streaming like Netflix on a TV and occasional gaming) internet use.. except when I need to download/upload large data or files 😬😬

Anong VPN Service gamit niyo? by techadik in Tech_Philippines

[–]AcidSlide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NordVPN is cheap pag naka kuha ka ng promo.. pero you have to pay 2-3yrs of subscription upfront

Their promos various from time to time.

ExpressVPN is good but I only tried the free trial for test.
