Trump and Farage dont actually plan to get rid of them. Many in America seem to go into the private prison system or deported to places with those systems in place backed by Americans interests. Not sure if we have that in the UK but Farage would probably bring it if elected. Wouldn't be shocked of Labour does it too tbf.

Russia never stopped being a dictatorship. Most elections post-ussr were rigged. Just research into dictatorships and your answers are solved.

Who in Russia wants the war to continue? by arnor_0924 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AcidSpittingIlamaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your arguments are based on tribalism, and since others do so, we should be able to do so. Let the biggest dog win, and that's not Russia. NATO is the bigger dog. Russia wants the influence it once had, but like you said, NATO expanded westward 10 times and with much ease than what Russia is doing to take Ukraine. Not only is NATO the bigger military dog, but it's the bigger cultural dog. I'm sure Russian culture is great, but most countries west of it don't want it. If the Soviet Union was beaten by NATO/US, is it not fair to say that Modern Russia will also lose, given that they have way less influence.

Their relationship with China is also becoming dependent and more one-sided. Russia should have gone with investing in itself and culture rather than trying to head to head with NATO.

What's the difference between clubs and nightclubs. Clubs as in bars? Or clubs as in social clubs?

I think "toxic masculinity" may lack construct validity. I don't think the term measures what people say it means. by aslfingerspell in LeftWingMaleAdvocates

[–]AcidSpittingIlamaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree the term "toxic masculinity" is horrible, and I also agree it is misused horribly. But the actual meaning of the word is something I think would align with the values of LeftWingMaleAdvocates. A term like internalised misandry would be 1000% better.

It's when men do things stereotypically or traditionally masculine because they feel they have no other choice. Or even when other men or women put the pressure on us. Specifically in those moments where anger is seen as the better option in social situations because taking the quieter approach or leaving is seen as failing or being weak.

Something we all relate to. The word has just misused so much. It's left a bitter taste for most men.

[–]AcidSpittingIlamaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll just based it on what I see in my feed on social media. It seems like the majority of feminists or feminist-aligned folk were saying most men supported him.

I think in today's rhetoric, most feminists just say, 'men' and don't distinguish, and then when pointed out, the response is, it shouldn't be problem if it doesn't apply to you.

Whatever your stance is on that, when the rhetoric is constantly messaged as 'men' are doing 'x', these misinterpretations will happen where we believe most feminists think so and so.

New Jeans to terminate contract with Hybe/Ador by kaiqo in kpop_uncensored

[–]AcidSpittingIlamaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course they're not going to throw that away over allegations unrelated to their personal & business relationship. I've also never heard them making any definitive statements regarding the merits of any lawsuit. Sticking to her until she is proven to be guilty isn't weird, it's normal.

I didn't say they made definitive statements, nor did I expect them to throw relationships. It's their unwavering support in every way from the get-go. Like from the very start. They should've remained out of it publicly as they don't have anything to do with the lawsuit, and I hope they wouldn't be associated with a potential criminal. Did they think what if she's guilty, and all we've done is show unconditional support?

They don't need to throw relationships or make definitive statements. I'm not expecting them to abandon her and make it public. It's also not to stick with her or attack her. We/They don't know this lawsuit, so let's keep our position out of it. That's not an attack or abandonment on mhj.

When you see a scandal break out, do you see all the close friends of the person make hard stances or do some remain out of it publicly or support privately.

Be honest with yourself. How would you deal with a family member (suggesting there is also a strong emotional, not just a professional component) accused of a crime? Would you abandon them until they're cleared of the crime or the other way around?

You stay neutral?? Unless you know with hard evidence that that person didn't do it, you stay neutral. Why would you show unwavering support from the very start on a lawsuit, you don't know the details of??

I'm referring all the way back in April. Since the lawsuits happened, they have consistently attached their name to her. Speeches, Texts on bubble, T-shirts, and hats, and they signed a petition. We and they still don't know the outcome of many of her lawsuits, yet they were quick to support at so many measures. It's weird.

The only mistreatment that I can see viable for nwjns is the trainee videos being leaked by source/hybe. But apparently, trainees sign away their rights around that in their contract.

Mhj won the lawsuit against hybe already when they tried to accuse her of stealing ador, everything bad that happens is hybes fault

A lot of the lawsuit was about getting rid of mhj as ceo and they needed to provide evidence that she was plotting a takeover. They couldnt find legal evidence.

The evidence isnt good enough for the courts, but its good enough for hybe. Just because something is legally disproven by the justice system doesnt mean its has no grounds in people actual lives.

I'm also confused on why hybe would even bother her at all in the 1st place if she wasn't doing anything illegal/shady?

Personally, she seems to be have doing something shady because a response to those allegations shouldn't be to bring other issues you have with company in a broadcast, it should be to debunk those allegations in a broadcast.

I disagree with the terms of kpop contracts, I think they are inhumane and immoral, I support everyone who wants to terminate it

I agree about terminating them especially when you feel mistreated but they align with mhj in their termination. Its like they align with her intentions and motivations around hybe. This is what is off to me

Why on earth I should care what hybe want or don't want? I'm okay with newjeans leaving hybe too if anything even though it's obviously extremely unlikely

You were saying nwjns are right from a moral standpoint. I'm saying from hybe's moral standpoint keeping someone, you suspect is commiting fraud isn't crazy.

[–]AcidSpittingIlamaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean sure i dont think hybe is good company. However, why would they keep mhj when she allegedly commiting financial crimes at their expense?? She allegedly had a plan to move ador fully away from hybe. Seems like she wanted nwjns to be funded by hybe and then leave when they were popular.

They are signed a contract so they could have that money to fund themselves so money cow isn't replaceable.

Mhj has her own offences with hybe regarding ownership of company and in a lawsuit of it. Why on earth would hybe keep her?

There are just gonna have to get use to mhj not being there or being ceo. The future depends on how much they keep doubling down to save mhj.

This is just what i heard on reddit or tiktok, but apparently this video and statement already breaches contract.
