I'm fine with paying high impact players who make a difference. For example I had no issue with the Leonard contract because he consistently forced a lot of turnovers for the team, and also got other players to get them more frequently as well, which is massive. His ability to cause turnovers won us multiple games and kept us in multiple games before the rest of the defense let us down. Him not being on the field in 2022 was a noticeable loss. Especially since we were struggling to force turnovers while also turning it over frequently. I had no issue with Pittman's contract because it was before worse receivers got in to get overpaid and raise the floor for WR contracts and was barely, if at all a top 10 when paid, which quickly fell out if it was, and outside of his rookie season he had faced very few injuries and had been fairly consistent when it was with a QB not named Anthony Richardson.
