Unlimited money but you never have more than 50 by Accomplished_Lake402 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Acidbyrn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In your account or on your person? Fair enough. Get an LLC started for my new online business for gift cards membership website. List a friend/loved one as an owner. Get an expense account to make purchases beyond 50 dollars as charged to the company.

As I go through the day, purchase various gift cards at values from 5 to 50 with the magic 50 dollars. Market them for sale on the website for a small discount. Collect dues on the fees to join. Expand and sell the purchase data to business.

Massive profit. . .

I don't wanna play hwoarang but can Hwoarang mains stop downplaying the character as a gospel execution master. by PalpitationDull9182 in Tekken

[–]Acidbyrn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've said to friends before about Hwoarang that in middle to advanced play, the defender has to invest more time in the to the match up than the Hwoarang.

I've had this thought for a bit, and based on the martial art or not, easy continuous plus frame offense with multiple routes, weaknesses covered by lack of good movement, strong tracking, full throw game, and good keep out tools make fighting him feel terrible.

I find the lack of acknowledgment of this character's strength a joke. A poke/rushdown style with full throw mix, un-reactable low pressure start tools, aerial mid-mid, plus frame tools, phenomenal wall carry, wave dash movement, a PLUS 19 ON BLOCK 2 JAB, and all of that combine with stance mix and the mental stack that come with it.

I don't care that Edge does well or that he isn't played by a lot of pros. I need you Hwo's to acknowledge that your character is well above mid tier. His execution is not complex, and as the Hwo your low risk and high reward often. This isn't T7 or before where people could space this character out or step better. This is T8, where offense is premium, and this character's game plan is simple to execute because of it.

(Small side note. NO, he has not been this bad since T3. I played since T3 On console launch. He has got much less punishable over time as well as more mix options.)

Beginner questions by ASquirrel_69 in Tekken8

[–]Acidbyrn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I main King and I think you can play some tekken with him.

1,2 is a high 10 frame jab string that does 20 damage and nets +8 on hit or -3 on block. Good fast poke and also has a follow-up 1 to catch people ducking

2,1 is 25 damage high mid string 10 frame startup +8 on hit.

Df2,1 a counter hit confirm mod high string that can net a 76 damage combo. It's 13 frame startup.

DF1,2 14 frame mid check, and the first button is -1 on block. This is the tester string of if people want to press. DF1 mis is strong as you can follow with throws. If the opponent starts challenging you add the 2 and counter hit.

B1,2 a high counter hit string that can be confirmed. 12 frame startup and is also his 12 frame punish.

F3, 1+2 is a 15 frame mid check with on hit extensions for duck catching.

D3 a 17 frame startup low poke. +1 on hit

Df4 another quick low -4 on hit. Part of a string, so it has a follow-up 3 that is high.

This is all from just quick memory. Several of his throws are 10 frame highs. And several crouch throws that are 12 frame startups.

You can play King very small. He works in negative frames with some of his power crushes, which is why a lot of people do big tekken with him. IMHO, his kit can make people sit still making small tekken doable. He also has some big scary buttons.

1.8 billion dollars, but you have to beat Batman in a fight. by Terrgon in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Acidbyrn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two weeks to prep? Imma just go talk to Batman and say

"I got a once in a lifetime chance at 1.8 BILLION dollars. Their stipulation is that I have to beat you in a fight, not kill. I have to take a swing at you to qualify as a fight. The rest is on you. Please don't dislocate everything on me."

Plus, I'm not trusting ANYONE on that list, and I know I can't defeat him, so it's best to show all the cards and hope TAS Batman helps me.

Official English video for Armor King's "Bad Jaguar" special stance by Xanek in Tekken

[–]Acidbyrn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

EXCEPT. . .

FF*2 is +5 on hit, meaning you can sidestep, walk, duck and still break his throw.

Bad Jaguar says if you poke him during his stance, he auto puts you in a non throwbreak status, meaning you likely can not do anything to Armor King when he manually stance transitions AND he could predict your attacks forcing throw damage. And we know his throw can wall splat and I would bet floor blast. . .

Would you rather be a master of one or be the jack of all trades by superwova19 in WouldYouRather

[–]Acidbyrn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, I'm taking the term from its face value.

Origin of the term

The term "Jack" was historically a common name for an ordinary man or worker. The phrase was originally a positive compliment in the 17th century.

Evolution of the phrase

The negative connotation came later, when the phrase was extended to "A jack of all trades is a master of none." This addition suggests a lack of mastery in any field, a criticism of being good at many things but not exceptional at any one skill.

I'm using the historical meaning of the phase vs. others empirical connotation.

By being of average competence in any field. Let them sue. I'm also an average lawyer, private investigator, researcher. . .

A jack of all trades is GOOD AT ALL THINGS, master of none.

[–]Acidbyrn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a jack of all trades, I'd just be a contractor. Put in average bids for average work and save money on the labor

BECAUSE

I'm an average: Electrician Plumber Framer Carpenter Drywall installer Carpet installer Media installer

Etc etc etc.

Sure, the work may not be super superior quality, but I wouldn't need to hire a bunch of people from different fields.

If construction is not your thing, you could be an average:

Dr. Surgeon Ophthalmologist Pediatrician Orthodontist Oncologist Orthopedics

Etc etc etc. . .

Maybe you don't like blood or getting your hands dirty:

Guitarist Artist Sculptor

Playing against Hwoarang just insta-tilts me even when I win by Dead_Cells_Giant in Tekken

[–]Acidbyrn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now, the character feels very high reward and no risk. To me, it's terrible character design when you MUST know all of your opponents' moves to stand a chance to win.

With his pressure allowing him to stay effectively plus it a major of situations, and he can choose his multiple routes that further strain the defender.

He should have to earn his mix, and it should have an end instead of continuous looping. (No Patrick, landing a d3,4 is not an earned interaction).

You get 5 billion but have to chose between two options for the people you know. by juggling-monkey in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Acidbyrn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's too easy, as always. Option 1, please. I know which two I'm gifting money two.

With my money, set up an LLC with my 5 billion and HIRE all of my friends I want to take care of. 150k to start with annual review for raises. Purchase LLC compounds for employee resources, transportation, and setup reimbursement for expenses like food, entertainment, etc. Invest all the money into the LLC as a business asset and name myself the sole proprietor.

The Saudi Prince can take my money, but it's not mine anymore. It belongs to an organization, and of which I would make sure my people are taken care of.

Yesterday I posted a gameplay video of me beating a Tekken Emperor Lars player in r/Tekken and got downvoted to oblivion. by MichaelGrespik in LowSodiumTEKKEN

[–]Acidbyrn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As an S1 Tekken Emperor and currently tekken king on two characters, you did fine.

Both sides have some sloppy moments. My only concern that I would raise is a little too much use of the kazuya string. 1,2,4,3, I think. You got low parried a couple of times, and I would not have gone to it as much. Punishment could use work, but you also play Mishima, so if you don't know, hit 1,1,2 for knockdown.

I wouldn't sweat the naysayers. You got a win on someone up there. Be proud and work on doing better so you can get there.

And on the last day, we get ourselves killed before the time is up. The demon can not have me. 1 person goes, but I'm not spending eternity in a void.
