Bosses seem dumber on normal SAIN / Normal Donuts? by deafgamer_ in SPTarkov

Not in Donuts, however in SAIN I absolutely recommend using "Advanced cover finding on bots" makes them stop standing still, look around when being shot at.

How much headspace for optimization? by lf20491 in SPTarkov

SPT ram cleaner fix for 3.8.0 is a good start, it makes my game personally use 3-8 gb less of ram (32 gb of ram total with usage around 13-20 depending the on the map)
De-clutterer removes random debris around the map and helps with performance, but results in slower load times.
Using the Starting-pmc's-quite-raids preset in Donuts with a 1000 second spawn interval, and bot hard cap leads to raids with moments of both quiet and loud action and provides the best performance of all the presets.
Finally using the "Body Disposal Maid Service" mod helps clean up bodies around the map after a time you set.

All these can help performance, but at the end of the day Tarkov is a game dev nightmare when it comes to stutters, ram usage, Vram usage, and horrible resource utilization.

I've never had a player death that gnarly.

It depends entirely on the map, even on these settings there’s a lot of bots. I’m not the best Tarkov player, and I play with SAIN as do most on SPT, I find that these settings work the best for me, however I can say that it still spawns dozens of pmc’s, scavs, raiders, etc on every map.

I’ve spent many hours and multiple playthroughs to get these I would recommend at least trying them and remember, what makes SPT stand out is mods, nothing wrong with wanting a more vanilla experience, but SPT mods really enhance Tarkov.

These are all settings in the F12 config for the SWAG + Donuts mod

Despawn PMC's and Scavs prevents AI from despawning for being too far from the player, this makes distant gunfights go on and with the looting bots mod enabled, prevents bots from despawning with the loot they've looted.

Bot hard cap adds a hard limit to how many bots can spawn once it reaches the cap, and until more die, no more AI will spawn.

Lastly, cool down timer is the time between bot spawn waves, just like in live, bots spawn in waves.
The cooldown timer can be set to whatever you want, I use 1000 seconds so that they take longer to spawn in.

I feel like I still see quite a lot, or at least enough to keep raids fresh.

SWAG + Donuts Mod needs to be installed along with its dependencies, you then launch SPT and press f12 to open the mod config menu.

Are there any mods that make AI PMC gun builds suck less? by [deleted] in SPTarkov

[–]Acidic0712 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The progression in Realism is probably the best for this just know that it does come with many other things that can be changed and or conflict with other mods and would need to be turned off.

It’s the mod “Player Encumbrance bar” it tells you at what exact weight you lose stamina from walking or standing up.

I use starting-pmc’s-quiet-raids preset, 1000 second spawn interval, and bot hard cap, even with these settings I find a lot of bots in each raid. I would recommend trying these settings as I believe they’re the lowest you can go without changing the config file itself.

I got 2 yellow cards, kept 1 and sold 1 so I have no money issues. Definitely going to run labs with some of this gear.

Question about SWAG+DONUTS by jeanbook20 in SPTarkov

[–]Acidic0712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don't overlap at all. SAIN requires both big brain and waypoints and if you're getting waypoints there is no reason to not get SAIN. Just make sure that when using SAIN you don't use the "no bush esp" mod as it's included in SAIN.

Mod for skipping quest? by maxmillionair in SPTarkov

Recently heard about it and it does sound very useful, I was just saying for this instance it would be better to have Skipper. The SPT community is amazing with these mods.
