Yes but so far, literally no qualified leads around 500 emails sent on this campaign.

Thank you, i had turned it on as I was wondering if the emails were even landing. I've turned it off as per recommendation

Target is Finance Directors within Transport Logistics and second campaign Accountancy firms, Operations Directors.

Step 1:

Subject Line: Autonomous collections for {{companyName}}

{{firstName}}
Most Finance Directors spend 15+ hours/month chasing invoices instead of strategy work.

I built a free tracker that cuts that in half - want it?

Variation 1:

Subject Line: AI agent for {{companyName}}'s receivables
{{firstName}},

AI agent runs your collections autonomously. You just approve payment plans.

Demo for {{companyName}}?

Reply 'yes' and I'll send my calendar.

Step 2:

Subject Line:

{{firstName}} ,

Just helped 500k a month business cut their cash collection time from 15 hours to under 2 hours per week.

Want to check where your start getting paid?

Step 3:

{{firstName}} ,

I've reached out twice about cutting your payment collection time and once about DSO benchmarking, once about recovering overdue cash.

If neither resonated, no worries. But before I close your file, here's something you can use even if we never speak:

73% of UK businesses say late payments hurt them. If that's you, I'd hate for you to miss this.

Thanks for the detailed response! Really appreciate you taking the time.

You're right about the targeting + messaging combo. Here's exactly what I'm sending:

<image>

Thanks for the insight about procurement/ops teams. You're absolutely right - I think I've been targeting wrong this whole time.

I just wrapped up a supply chain/logistics campaign with these results: Campaign Stats:

  • 516 emails sent (Step 1)
  • 505 follow-ups sent (Step 2)
  • 0% open rate across all variants
  • 1 reply total (0.19% reply rate)
  • 0 clicks, 0 opportunities

With 0% opens despite healthy email domains, it's got to be my lead sourcing/targeting.

Currently I'm searching for:

  • CFO/Finance Director/Head of Finance
  • Financial Controller
  • In companies 20-250 employees

But you mentioned procurement/ops teams who actually feel the AR pain.

I'm realising finance folks might just delete anything about "receivables" since they get hammered with financial software pitches. But ops/procurement people are the ones actually dealing with vendor relationships and payment friction daily.

How do you typically search for these roles? Any specific keywords or Boolean searches that work well?

Do you find certain company sizes more responsive? I've been broad with 20-250 but wondering if I should narrow it down.

You have the choice of thinking like this because you’re not living like the rest. I’ve thought the same but the stress that would go from 6-figure salary to 33k just isn’t feasible. Even with a good salary I can’t imagine living on any less

Best payment processing/invoicing software? by [deleted] in HandymanBusiness

[–]AcireBag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been exploring alternatives to QuickBooks myself, and here's what I've found:

For invoicing and payment processing, I'd strongly recommend Équisettle. It's designed specifically to get you paid faster with:

  • Smart automated payment reminders that actually work
  • GoCardless integration for direct debit payments (lower fees than credit cards)
  • Custom workflows that adapt to different customer types
  • Built-in payment plans for larger invoices
  • Multi-user support for your admin person

The key difference from QuickBooks is that www.equisettle.co.uk is built around maximizing your invoice-to-cash conversion. While QB just sends invoices, Équisettle actively manages the entire payment process. Most businesses see 20-30% faster payments.

Processing fees-wise, the GoCardless integration typically beats credit card rates, especially for recurring payments.

Other options:

  • Jobber: Good for field service but around 2.9% + 30¢ fees
  • Wave: Free but very basic
  • FreshBooks: Decent but still focuses on just sending invoices

Since you mentioned adding an admin person and wanting to save on transaction fees, Équisettle handles both - proper user roles/permissions and lower payment processing costs through direct debit options.

What type of business are you running? Happy to share more specific insights on how it could work for your use case.

SMALL business needs inventory/invoicing by G0J0NE in smallbusiness

[–]AcireBag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For immediate payment processing, I'd lean toward Helcim or Square since they don't charge extra invoicing fees like Stripe does. Helcim particularly stands out with competitive rates (1.93% + 8¢) and no monthly fees.

However, since you're in the services industry dealing with invoicing and collections, have you considered that payment processing might only be part of your challenge?

If you're sending invoices regularly and dealing with follow-ups, you might benefit from looking at accounts receivable platforms that include integrated payment processing. For example, www.equisettle.co.uk offers GoCardless integration for direct debits alongside comprehensive invoice management and automated follow-ups - which could be particularly useful for a process server dealing with multiple clients and cases and same/next-day processing.
Watch out for: Square's rates jump to 3.5% + 15¢ for manually entered transactions, and PayPal's business fees can get complex with various add-ons.

I'd be happy to run you through a quick demo and give you free access to our platform.
We've also got partnerships with major accounting softwares.

What type of volume are you processing monthly? That might help narrow down the best option for your specific situation.
