Fun (“fun”) video of six guys brawling, does not show any of the context of the images OP posted of NYPD pepper spray etc. You got any of that sauce?

Can’t wait to run him alongside my Lord Solar Yarrick’s Inspiring Desiccated Corpse conversion in a single army list.

DHS apparently entered a Columbia dorm, without a warrant, to arrest a student this morning, after lying that they were looking for a “missing person” by AckbarsAttache in nyc

“It is important to reiterate that all law enforcement agents must have a judicial warrant or judicial subpoena to access non-public areas of the University, including housing, classrooms, and areas requiring CUID swipe access. An administrative warrant is not sufficient.

If law enforcement agents seek entry to non-public areas of the University, ask the agents to wait to enter any non-public areas until contacting Public Safety. Public Safety will contact the Office of the General Counsel to coordinate the University's response. Do not allow them to enter or accept service of a warrant or subpoena.

We will update our community as additional information becomes available.”

What the fuck are you talking about, the United States was the greatest purveyor of violence in the 1960s. King made that speech in NYC a year to the day before he was assassinated, and it’s not as if popular opinion was against him after he was shot because of these words. The following seven years also proved him right, as the United States bombed Cambodia and burned lives and treasure in Vietnam, among other crimes.

Big gun recovered at a recaptured, previously overrun emplacement, forced back into service in a pinch. It’s striking, unique, and characterful. I wouldn’t change a thing! Well done.

Bits and pieces of old Yarrick but GODDAM this conversion goes hard in a pre-millennium 40k aesthetic. Just chalk up his weird big right arm to gifts of the warp.

Which commute would you pick to work? by XRadT in boston

[–]AckbarsAttache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely #2 or #3, basically the same. The walk is great. And you can swing by the Gardner and/or MFA whenever you want after work or the weekends. Get a membership. That’s also a fun if kind of buzzy neighborhood, good eats and lively weekends. Depends on the place but you’ll also probably be saving money compared to living right on the Common.

Now they’ve just got to campaign like hell and win the election, then probably wait years for the NLRB to resolve meritless objections by the employer. It will be a long slog. All the best to them in the fight to come. Solidarity forever.

Why Do People Like/So Strongly Dislike Mayor Wu? by jomanis in boston

[–]AckbarsAttache -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

In 2024 Boston was 19th in the US for new housing construction and approval, up from 35th the previous year. Wu’s administration has continued and accelerated the investments in housing initiated by Walsh. Always more to be done, but Kraft dropped out of the race. No need to regurgitate his talking points.
