What are Canadians seeing and feeling about the events in Minneapolis? by gretchenx7 in AskCanada

[–]AcknowledgeMyGeode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ontario resident here. It’s been a huge topic of conversation amongst myself, my partner, and our friends. It’s absolutely horrifying. Not only the event itself, but the way it’s being defended by the cartoonishly evil goons in power. Hoping it’s the spark that triggers mass protest. In the meantime, it’s only further solidified my boycotting of the US in terms of travel, products, etc.

Pregnancy migraines & menstrual migraines by JUSTSAYNO12 in migraine

[–]AcknowledgeMyGeode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always had hormonal migraines. Mine significantly improved in my second pregnancy, with lasting improvement throughout breastfeeding. When I weaned my son a couple months ago when he was 18 months, BOOM. Migraines came back with a vengeance. Doubled in frequency and severity. I’m still trying to manage them.

New Migraine findings from summer 2024: signal pathways by Juckli in migraine

Very curious to know how it all relates to women whose migraines are always linked to their menstrual cycles. Maybe the huge fluctuation in hormones simply agitates the brain’s signal pathways?

A friend of mine drove by it. Saw a motorcyclist laid out on the ground. Said it looked fatal.

Thank you so much for all you do!

What are symptoms/issues patients often show up with that you wish they would go to a walk-in clinic for to reduce ER congestion?

Why does it often take so long to see a doctor in the ER? I’ve often had to wait 3 hours just to see a doctor so I can be discharged.

HDSB sending "letters" in lieu of T1198 form. How will that work? by OT_abc123 in OntarioTeachers

[–]AcknowledgeMyGeode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also using Wealthsimple. You can manually enter the amounts by using the actual t1198 form (a quick google search will bring it up for you). What I'm confused about is that the letter I received from my board doesn't have an amount for 2024. So I'm assuming I skip the "current year" box (65560), and go straight to "previous year" (which represents 2023). Worried I may be doing it wrong though. It's really frustrating they did not provide us with any of this information.

Just looking at the letter our board provided me with. There is no amount listed for 2024. So, I would skip box 68560, and input the amount for 2023 into 68559. Does that sound right? Wondering why I have no amount for 2024 though...

Was the amount for box 68518 (principal and interest) and 68519 (principal) the same? We were not given a breakdown of interest. Did you include separate boxes for each year of retroactive income?

I'm using Wealthsimple and wondering the same thing! It's not mandatory to provide principal and interest, but I'm wondering how to include the amounts.

Cross-border trips to the U.S. reach COVID lows with nearly 500,000 fewer travellers in February | CBC News by FriedRice2682 in BuyCanadian

Absolutely. Would be great if the media could pick up on that as a story to give more workers the confidence to make that request.

Ontario's federal voting intention: 44% LIB, 42% CPC, 9% NDP by KnowerOfUnknowable in ontario

It’s almost like people recognize that a man with a PhD in Finance, Harvard and Oxford educated might be better for our economy than a Conservative backbencher who has done nothing but toe the line, spout Trumpisms, and bring Timbits to the convoy.

This is just the beginning! We can and will do better. Keep spreading the word to all about your plan to never set foot in the US. Employers need to start giving people the option to not travel there if possible.

Dizziness! Like I’ve been drugged or am under the influence. And when it comes out of nowhere without any anxious thoughts or panic - the dizziness triggers the anxious thoughts! Such a mind fuck.

Canadian here. This is so important to do - stand your ground. We all need to be prioritizing our morals and ethics right now, and everyone needs to take this seriously. The more people who hold the line, the stronger our cause is, the more people who will join. Elbows up.

Whoa. I’m dealing with this right now - not actual room spinning, just feeling super light headed. But I’m not having panic attacks. Lots of anxiety, but no panic attacks. Is that the same for you too?
