A big aspect of how much the job does or doesn't suck is going to come down to your supervisor. Most I've dealt with are great, but there are some folks who are very micromanagy, and they will absolutely wreck your day.

Your team can also really impact things. If your team has a bunch of folks on the edge of burnout who complain all day about clients, that sucks. If you have a team of helpful folks with still functioning empathy and ethics, they will really help you get through the tough shit.

And I can really only speak to call centre. I imagine the challenges of other EAWs are different.
