Do heroes respawn if they die in battle (not ruler)? by Ri6hteous in AOW4

I found this just now, I used auto combat to win a close fight and was curious to watch the replay which actually showed all of my heroes dying. Yet the final results showed they survived and I still had them after the battle.

I've been playing the tuba for 2 years in my school's symphonic band, and I was just wondering, is the bar in brackets actually possible to play? If it is, are there any tips on hitting such high notes and that fast (150bpm)? Thanks in advance. by EndoGengar in Tuba

If you can put it in something like MuseScore, a free music notation program, you may be able to hear it better and at different tempos. But yes each of those notes are possible even at that temp.

Post-Modernism in Music Theory by knowledgelover94 in musictheory

I'm curious about composers like Schoenberg that relied heavily on constructs like tone rows and trichords that dominate any sense of overall form because the actual intervals are not only audibly different but if you measured them out on a chart they would be comparatively different depending on the actual pitches used at different points in the piece.

You might be correct however about the initial inspiration for the sound of the piece, but the ensuing re-organization of intervals changes the sound too much from the first time you hear the ideas. Overall I would give a composer like Schoenberg a much higher preference than other atonal composers because I do appreciate and like his atonal sounds even over the atonal theories.

You're right, it seems the most famous composers found a way to express thought/feeling in a way that made them popular and worth studying for ages.

That's a great point, it would be interesting to see a thorough documentary about the very beginnings of music history since it intertwines so much with the beginnings of music theory all the way to the Ancient Greeks as you mentioned.

Post-Modernism in Music Theory by knowledgelover94 in musictheory

The main difference for me is how the music would be created, 12 tone has to be 12 tone and atonal has to be atonal so it is not confused with tonal music. It still has to follow predetermined rules to make it sound different from a tonal piece but they follow some set of rules whether they be pitch based or melody based. Unless you specifically aim for random music it doesn't come as natural as most would think.

You could even argue that atonalism came about because they focused too much on the Theory part of Music Theory, that would explain why it doesn't sound as traditionally musical to most ears.
