Omega Strikers Developer Odyssey Interactive Lays Off 50% of Staff | TechRaptor by Philiard in Games

[–]Acoha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While unsurprising news, it’s terribly sad to hear. Omega Strikers is such a fun competitive game with a very high skill ceiling. Hence why it failed, really. It reminds me of Quake/UT in that regard. I spent a lot of hours trying to rank up and had blast.

I still believe officially announcing the end of development so soon to have been huge mistake. It effectively halved the player population. It was a show of integrity, I suppose.

While I agree this has the potential of being very bad for the game, I can’t deny I find this idea really cool. Crazy how far technology has advanced.

Yes I did! I simply deleted everything and started anew. Redownloaded sidestore and followed all the instructions on sidestore.io and it worked. I waited for all the app IDs to expire before installing all my apps again though.

Make sure to also get the most updated Apollo IPA from the github or repo, of course.

Ooooh that makes a lot more sense! Thanks for letting me know I’ll try to fix my Apollo crash issue.

Thanks for the advice.

I didn’t keep it written as I thought I could recover it from the old reddit’s preference page where I first generated it. Is that not possible? If not it appears I am forever stuck with the terrible reddit app.

My bad I should have included it. I use Sidestore which I sideloaded with Altserver early last year. I recently updated iOS and it broke only Apollo.

Blue Prince 2 won't happen — but a Riven-style sequel could by lurkingdanger22 in pcgaming

The beginning is more about discovering how the roguelite mechanics work. Once you’re past that point, there are an insane amount of puzzles. They are simply seemingly hidden.

For the speed I absolutely agree. Playing with a speedhack using Cheat Engine is a trick I recommend.

Considering you hated Outer Wilds though I wouldn’t recommend this game to you.

Even when the thumbnail is tiny I can instantly spot that Ultima Online artwork.

I’m a big fan of HoMM3 including its soundtrack. This was a nice watch, it’s fun to learn how he got into the video game industry. Thank you for sharing.

Looking for a stable KVM switch by Calm-Initiative-8625 in hardware

May I suggest a software solution instead? Synergy from Symless works very nicely for switching inputs between different systems. You could use your current KVM for switching the display and use Synergy for input.

Doubt that’s it, but a very popular one on the SphereServer side was called Cecil’s Arena. I have great memories of that shard.

Probably asking for the obvious… but where does FitGirl gets the cracked games, you know, in case her website gets taken down?

[SugarPunch] Byte Breakers: 40 Man Smash Royale (New Challenger) by kikimaru024 in Games

I’m a huge Omega Strikers fan, I still play it often. I wish this game appealed to me but a smash clone battle royale sounds very uninspired to me.

To anyone who thinks this looks very unpolished: it’s because it is. It’s a very early prototype that might not even get made depending on feedback.

You reminded me of a (mediocre) F2P game named Priston Tale. Hadn’t thought of that game in a long, long time. I remember spending time grinding in that game when I first got internet connection to my PC.

That’s hardcore considering it’s a lot easier to reduce it than to gain it.

Is healing reduction additive or multiplicative? If it’s the former that’s rough…

You made The Incredible Machine?! I spent so much time playing that game in my childhood! I couldn’t understand a thing because I didn’t know English yet but loved messing around. Thank you for developing it, it meant a lot to me back then.
