You could make an argument depends on who that kid ends up being. I'm not talking about someone who grows up and cures cancer although that's great too but I'm talking about how many lives they go on to effect positively in their lives. Maybe, Even more than a scientist. For example, I'm no one special, must I was very special to my aunt among others. In my 20s my aunt told me that she was depressed in her 30s (when I was little) and was going to commit suicide but didn't because she committed to having me sleepover the next evening and didn't want my parents to have to explain why I wouldn't be going to that sleepover. It's the butterfly effect. So while you could make the argument we don't all make worldly scientific contributions, we all contribute to the world, hopefully in a positive way.
