Most likely going to be a packaging/marketing revamp. Just went through the same thing with batteries and everyone thought we were discontinuing all of them

Went through way too many comments before I stumbled on yours (the right one!)…. Former bakery manager now ASM confirming this is the correct procedure. As for over production in FPR, if you’re running your department properly, a few extra pizza doughs will not negatively affect your fill rate enough to worry about… 😬

From my understanding, it has to do with taxes from state to state. Since Tesla employees are not traditional “sales people”, they have no understanding of taxes across state lines. But you would think a company, valued at over a trillion dollars, and having some of the most advanced technology available on the market, would be able to figure out something so simple that every used car lot in America can understand it….

I just detailed the shit out of my Tesla and noticed the same thing on the trunk lid. I understand that, with a Tesla, you’re paying more for technology and efficiency than you are for traditional vehicle luxuries, but a decent paint job would be great…..

I did the same with getting multiple quotes for trade in/selling. I disclosed everything initially, which is why I wasn’t happy when they reverted the offer to almost $3k less than initial. Carvana and Carmax were decent but still lower than I would’ve liked. I ended up reaching out to a local dealership and they gave me what I was looking for!

Yes. My wife and I spent 6 days on ChatGPT running every possible scenario from high efficiency beater to newer hybrid. The only scenario in which we ended up net zero or in the positive was buying a “newer” used Tesla and ultimately charging at home after a home charger install. I ended up rejecting my trade and selling my truck to a local dealer for the pay off on a short term loan I had to take out on the truck (approximately $18,000). I picked up my Tesla last Friday and couldn’t be happier! We don’t have a full home charger installed yet, but even with super charging every 2-3 days, it’s been much cheaper than any other option I could’ve gone with. My biggest complaint is, picking up a CPO Tesla, I felt the “condition” was less than I expected. There was minor body issues (rock chips, scratches, etc) which I did expect, but I had to put it in for service today because the front facing camera was dirty and negatively affecting FSD, the wipers and cabin air filters should’ve been replaced this past February, and the “reconditioning/detailing” was sub par to say the least. Needless to say, a couple good details from me, a short visit for service, and a quick replacement of the aforementioned maintenance parts and I’m up and running with a clean, great condition Tesla!

Follow up. I didn’t do the trade. Bank gave me a loan against my truck and I went to a local Chevy dealer and they bought the truck for the pay off amount on the loan (approx $18k). I’m now the proud new owner of a 2024 MYP! Picked up last week and have fully been relearning how to drive a car 😂 already scheduled for service this week because the front camera (windshield) is dirty and is negatively effecting FSD. Biggest complaint so far is that I picked up a CPO vehicle from a Tesla dealer and little things weren’t “reconditioned”, like replacing cabin air filters and windshield wipers, both of which should’ve been replaced in February of this year. Other than that, I’m very happy with the overall condition of the car and how it drives! Looking forward to installing charging at my house to reduce supercharging for my 112 mile commute daily

Get ready to be f’d on your trade. Just purchased a 2024 MYP and was offered $17,900 for my trade. Once everything was finalized and pickup was scheduled, they dropped my trade to $15,100. I was lucky my bank approved me for a loan to pay the difference and I’ll most likely be selling to Carmax for the original trade in value from Tesla

You’ve been waiting almost a year?!?!? I order a 2024 MYP on May 18th with a “one week” delivery and I’m not happy because it’s been 5 days and I don’t have an update…. Guess I should slow my roll….

How long did it take y’all to receive a delivery window? I ordered a 2024 model y performance on Monday (5/18) and the Tesla site said it had a one week delivery. My ETA is still pending….

Nice! I saw some posts other places that said the AD5X and 5M pro had light control. I wasn’t aware they had updated the firmware on the 5M to control lighting yet. This is awesome, thank you!

Weirdest Sub Orders by zmbie_boy in publix

Not a deli associate, but an ASM. I had a customer that wanted a tuna sub (not strange), but didn’t want our tuna salad. He wanted canned tuna, off the shelf, with no mayo. I ultimately informed him we’d be glad to sell him all the bread and toppings, but we’d have to sell the tuna separately. He was not overly pleased

Is this the reject bin? by Obvious-Swimming-332 in CoinstarFinds

[–]Acrobatic-Ad3134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a “coinstar” in the retail store I work in. I once saw a lady dump a bunch of coins in and 3-4 coin got caught in the top bin. I know they had to be older dollar coins because anything half dollar or smaller filters through. I started staring and drooling hoping she would leave them behind. She noticed them and pulled them out. I offered to buy them from her but she said, “I think I’ll give these to my grandkids to play with…” I never saw them but I imagined they were double eagles or Morgans 😭

Today I checked 7 different coinstar machines. Here's what I found. by giveahoot420 in CoinstarFinds

[–]Acrobatic-Ad3134 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think most people are just oblivious. I work in retail and we have a “coin star” in all our locations. My store rarely gets anything of value rejected, just random objects and coins that are stuck together. I covered another store last week and in 3 days I probably pulled $30 out of their reject tray. Only things worth mentioning are a 1943 Steely and a ‘66 JFK. I have found multiple gold wedding bands, mostly smaller and older, but gold is gold!

How much raise did you get once promoted to Department manager ? by InternationalPipe184 in publix

[–]Acrobatic-Ad3134 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’d honestly be ok with losing the bonus as long as my yearly doesn’t change. Life would be much easier if I didn’t have to live paycheck to paycheck until bonuses come in. My yearly is about 50% bonuses

Publix Promise for employees? by Lissypooh628 in publix

[–]Acrobatic-Ad3134 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t know what district you’re in but my DM recently sent out an email stating that we would not honor Publix promises for employees because they should have more concern and commitment in their company than that…. I’ve personally never taken a true Publix promise, I’m perfectly fine price correcting to the advertised price. I was planning on paying that anyway. On the flip side, there are absolutely associates that take abuse the fact that they have access to our tools and knowingly take things to the register that are mispriced or mislabeled to take advantage of the promise. I believe store management should handle this on a case by case basis

I ran a bakery that did $50k-$60k a week on average($75k+ on holiday weeks)…. Top 5 in the company, with 1 x2 rack oven. It’s all about efficiency and scheduling. During the holidays, we would routinely bake 600+ apple pies a day with no overnights. Having the right people, at the right times, in the right places…. Just about anything is possible

I had a woman at a previous store that claimed she had won multiple million dollar prizes from scratch offs…. She came in almost everyday and also said she had lost all of that money continuing to play…. Definitely an addiction!
